So i had an issue with my accessport where the screen wasn't functioning at all. Obviously I needed to send it in for repair, but the problem was that I bought it 2nd hand. also the warranty sticker that covers one of the screw holes was so worn down it looked like i voided the warranty myself but in actuality I didn't. So I mentally prepared myself beforehand that I would be paying out of pocket to have it repaired and sent back out etc.
Well I PM'ed Travis on the boards here and they got me in touch with their guys who sent me a UPS label so I could ship the accessport back to them. They also reassured me that they try to keep costs down as much as possible and the most i'd be looking at for the repair was $100 because they just cap it there. Well I sent the accessport to them and was fully expecting a bill of some kind. About a week or so later I got an e-mail with tracking information showing that a package had left Cobb down in texas and was on its way to me. It was slightly delayed due to the winter storms of the past few weeks but I got it earlier this week and lo and behold. my accessport and dongle, fully repaired and functioning (along with a revision update to the software) and the packing list showed the services rendered along with $0.
so basically cobb paid for me to ship it to them, fixed my accessport for free and then shipped it back out to me. knowing full well that I bought it 2nd hand and with a questionable warranty sticker. If that's not customer service I don't know what is. Thanks guys!
