he beat ortiz, hatton, de la hoya, judah, and gatti.... but they are nobodys and neither is Mayweather I guess.... so I guess the only "somebody" is pacquaio and the 2 unknowns minus Erik Morales who beat his ass :clap:

Or.. I think they've both spent their entire careers fighting nobodys and former greats well past their primes. The only two boxers in the world on that level are them, and it's floyd who keeps dodging the fight. I hate floyd pretending he's the greatest ever, when he dodges the one fight that could cement his real legacy. Who cares he beat zab judah? Who cares about a washed up de la hoya. Victor Ortiz was the only really good fighter, and he just isn't as good as floyd, no polish, and a moron.

I don't respect either of them until the fight happens. But at least manny isn't dodging the fight every chance he can.

^ I respect that comment.... i am not Mayweather I wish i could say ay n**** go fight Pacquio but I cant... I am sure he has his own reasons to why he wont fight Pacman and we as the viewers are just too ignorant to see it... He is too tough imo to just be "scared" to box Pacman, there is more to it... I think it will happen, and when it does Ill invite you first to watch on a 72' LCD tv :)

I honestly think that Floyd thinks his undefeated record cements him as an all-time great. And manny just happens to be the exact style of boxer (southpaw, aggressive) that Floyd has trouble with. And manny is just as, if not faster than Floyd. All this adds up to a possible loss for Floyd, and thus losing the undefeated title.

It makes sense too. Think about Rocky Marciano. We always list him as an all-time great, due to being the only champ to retire undefeated. But (not his fault) he fought nobody. Had he had a loss in there, we wouldn't even remember his name. Floyd's in the same boat. Without that -0 on his record, he'll go down as a HOF boxer, who nobody will remember.

boxing is all but dead. give it time and it will be. its boring, the fights suck and its nowhere near as fun to watch or as technical as mma can and usually is. i used to live for friday night fights and all the little promotions in between. now, boxing is on and i could care less if i miss a fight.

Boxing is down due to there being no american heavyweight, and the freaking ukranian brothers being unstoppable. But someday there's be another american we can care about, and it'll be back. I personally don't do MMA. Two dudes wrestling on the ground and holding each other doesn't do it at all. I like when they stand up and fight, but the judo - while effective - bores the hell out of me

just my .2c here, both fighters are great if you guys were to ask me but take a look at this

Punch Stats:
Pacquiao has thrown 578 punches connecting 176 while Marquez had it 436 connecting 138. Pacquiao threw 304 jabs connecting 59 to Marquez's 182 with 38 connects. Pacquiao threw 274 power punches connecting 117 while Marquez threw 254 with 100 connecting.

It was close, but Marquez clearly didn't do enough to dethrone the Champion.
Was it a lousy fight? Yes. Did Marquez win? No. In boxing, challengers are supposed to be the aggressors. In this case, it was Manny who took the fight to the challenger and the challenger did the running. You cant win a championship by defending yourself and running in circles. PacMan is champ because he knocked everybody out to claim their crowns. Marquez wants the diadem given to him for surviving Pacquiao. You want to be champ? Go out there and knock Manny out.
