Anyone else's battery die on them? I went out to my car last week to find the battery almost completely dead. I checked around to see if I had left anything on or any doors open. I couldn't find anything that would have drained it, so I jumped it drove it for a couple days and again it died. I dropped it of at the dealer this morning and the guy said it's a new battery and they've had some problems with them. Just wanted to see if I'm the only one that's seen this for.

Mine sometimes has start up trouble. You are not alone. I assumed it was from when my dad killed my battery... but maybe it's just the battery itself. After market battery ftw?

If it is... U have to make sure the key is completely on the off persision. I court myself a few time when the car accessory was still on when cutting off the engine. I was like wtf, lucky it was only for 5 minutes at a time.
Try it, cut off the engine and slightly leave the key just alittle on the on persision, you will see that it seems as it was off but the radio still plays.

I'll have to check this out. Looks like I'm getting a new battery so hopefully it won't happen again.

hmm. nothing here so far. But i do not have a keyless entry.

No issues here.

Talked to the shop last night. They said there was a short somewhere and it was drawing power form the battery. They're still looking for the short as of this morning.

Ive havent had a dead battery, but I have had the car act like battery was low when starting and everything was completely turned of including the key. Let me know what they find out.

I just brought mine in today. My CEL came on, and then the next day it didnt want to start. I had to bump start it and take it to the dealer.

My battery has seemed slugish since I got the car.

Just got off the phone with the Dealer. They found the problem originating from the radio and the combo meters. The parts won't be in until Wednesday so I'll have to drive my car around hoping it doesn't die on me. I'm starting to get very irritated. This is the third time the car has needed to be left at the shop. I'll have to drop it off again next week and then again when they get approval from Mitsu to sand and repaint the gravel chips. I'm gonna have a talk with the manager when I get down there.

hmmmm... interesting! so does the dealer cover the gravel chips on the car???

Thats what the dealer is telling me also. But they didnt mention anything about the radio causing the battery to die..... hmmm

They said it would be ready around wednesday.

Also, I had the new reflash in last week, and I got the CEL again. The dealer said that they are coming out with a new reflash soon. Anyone hear about it?

I've got a yellowtop optima in my '96 3kgt, maybe I should swap it out since I've got it up for sale..

other systems also drain the battery. Alarms, GPS tracking come to mind for me.

Hopefully they get it right.
