IS there a cheap place to get powder coating done to rims around here? I don't want to spend $100 a rim like most shops want to charge. I want to coat my gsr wheels in a matte black or semi black.

someone on here plasti-dipt their wheels...you can probably find it...that'll cost next to nothing

I want it done correctly, I might get a heat lamp and do it myself.

Damn 140 in SA. When I was lived there (2006- Jan 2010) cheapest I found was 75 a wheel. But 100 a wheel isn't too bad the cheapest I found in hawaii is 125 for single stage and they said I would have to pay for the shipping on any special colors they had to order.

Google 'diy powder coating'. theres a lot of info on it. If you can craigslist a large oven for under $100, you're golden.

It's one of those weird things where it costs as much to drive where it's cheap, as to just pay the premium where you live. Bummer, I've been there.
