: PERRIN Feedback thread

Just wanted to write up my experience with PERRIN. A few weeks ago, I ordered some products from them and had it shipped via 3 day air. A week later, no parts were in my hands. They gave me my tracking number and it turns out that Fedex completely dropped the ball and misrouted my package to california rather than New Jersey. After all, the states are right next to each other.

Anyway, once I explained this to PERRIN, they helped me out by re-shipping my order to me via Fedex Overnight (which Fedex managed to actually route correctly this time).

So long story short, PERRIN was on the ball, Fedex dropped it, and PERRIN fixed Fedex's mistake.

purchased and installed Perrin fmic. For some reason on my car the lower mounting bracket did not line up. The bracket had to be re drilled in order to move it enough to center the core. Once installed the first test drive felt awsome!! I couldn't understand how just a fmic could make such a huge diff. Then I floored it again but this time I looked at the boost guage and it said 30lbs!!!!!! Accoring to my tuner the fmic should not make a diff in boost pressure but it did. Before the install I was tuned hitting 24.5lbs max. So if you install a fmic make sure you have a boost guage just to be on the safe side. I had to go back to my tuner to get the boost turned back down. *** side note*** the perrin fmic is a beautiful intercooler.

i ordered a 4" silencer for my subaru and perrin sent the wrong size. so i called and was told to send it back with the rma # that was givin to me. i sent it back 2 day ,and a year and a half later and a credit card dispute i got my money back. good thing i sent it back with signature required. perrin swore they never got it ,and that the person who signed for it never worked for them, but when i called and asked for this person as a different customer they got him to the phone. i will never again order anything from perrin. it is to bad cause i liked alot of products they offered:(

I ordered these too! Did you get the steering column setup? I love the piss outta mine, but selling EGT to get wideband (Prosport 60mm wideband comes out in April). They also gave me MBC install kit for next-to-nothin even though I bought it the controller on ebay. Anyway, another +1 for Perrin.

Im curious to see how you guys like that gauge pod. Im tired of waiting for these other people to make them.

It's pricey but:
1. easiest pod to install. Running the wiring is cake.
2. positioning is not as ideal as A-pillar but helluva lot better than center console, IMO. You can position to only block up to 2.5K rpms and up to 30 mph.
3. It's adjustable; the pods rotate. Metal construction kicks ass.

I recommend the Prosport gauges too, they look amazing, function perfectly, are cheaper than other popular brands, and they have peak memory and warning function with alarm and color change.
Not to hijack, but kinda an ad for Perrin so...

Your tuner said that the front mount would not make a differance in boost pressure??? :wallbash:

You need a new tuner my friend.
