Hello my name is Tom and I am an EVO addict. No actually I just bought my car a few months ago and I would like to pep it up a little. Do you guys know if there are any good shops around the Las Vegas area I can go to for some upgrades? How many guys on here live in the Vegas area? I don't see very many EVO's on the road around here. Thanks

Hey Tom. Congrats on the new car. As far as shops I dont really know you can probably check out fn werks. There's another one but I can't think of the name now. Pretty much all the evo owners in Vegas does their own installs. If you need help with basic bolt ons i can help you!!! What part of town do you live in?

Paladin Motorsports, ask for Mike. They have worked on quite a few Evo's and GTR's for us.

Thanks guys, I will check out these places, I just bought a long ram cold air intake (injen) a COBB accessport and I am looking at exhaust systems now. I can do alot of stuff myself but some things I going to have questions on. Some of these items I like to see before I buy as well. Are there any places in town to buy the upgrades from? I live in Henderson, Horizon & the expressway area.

don't leave it up to chance, to the nissan guys (paladin) and the supra guys. take a trip to socal and hit up cobb, and don't look back. if you're gonna do it, do it right.

I was about to say the same. You're really close to cobb soCal and gst. Drive to the la area to get shit done Jon is one of the best tuners there is.

Live in Anthem..... for those who own Evo's in Vegas, go to Cars and Coffee on saturday mornings. Here's the link: http://lasvegas.carsandcoffee.info/

It's located at Eastern Ave and Richmar in the Sansone Park Place shopping center just south of the 2-15.

There's a guy with a blue GSR who's done a lot of mods and performance stuff and I'm sure he can tell you where to get stuff done at.

Here's a link for some pics of vehicles that were there a couple of saturdays ago.

he got his tune done at doug's which was a disaster. again, just take a trip to cobb socal. i've been to paladin -- they'd rather work on nissans, and will quote you an inflated service fee. guaranteed. (though, their oil changes are a super deal)

Hey whats up bro and welcome to the EvoXForums!!

Im a member of quite a few other import forums and have been throughout the years and the ones I hear most from for Evo's and other import owners going to for work are:

hey welcome bro. If I was you, I'd just go to Cali and get it tuned there. Im in Vegas every weekend and I know couple of evo x guys there, and most of em got tuned in cali. Bring a friend with you to drive back and keep you company.

don't ever goto doug's dyno for tunes. i've heard of some horrific stories within the evo community, as well as the mazdaspeed community.

gene's auto (fidel is the only mechanic here i think) did my lowering springs. he's originally from coutesy mitsu/mazda, seems to be a decent mechanic, but definitely not a tuner.

not sure about trevtec -- but just make a drive down to socal and get tuned there. don't rely on any shops in vegas.

If I could list other forums/testimonials on here that could vouch for Trevtec and DDP I would but out of respect for this forum's rules I will not cross reference or link, Gene's I just through in there for being a good shop.
I'm running a great tune and I didn't have to go to socal for it, many others in the locale Evo community here also are on great tunes putting down nice numbers, some DDP, some from Trevtec.......they didn't go to socal for a tune.

To each his own I guess but I wouldn't deem all Vegas shops as being crap or unreliable for tuning at all. There is no "perfect" tuner shop out there that has not run into issues before.

Yo just found this thread. Welcome to the evo community!

Cars and Coffee is cool, we usually have a Evo meet on Thursday nights at around 8 p.m. Located at In and Out on Sahara just west of Palace Station.

My buddy Pete has been helping me out with tuning. We do road tunes and I'm running an FP Red on E85. We've been able to run it at 29 psi just waiting for head studs and my GSC S2 cams with springs and retainers. Once that stuff comes in I want to hit up the dyno.

I could see a problem going to California for a tune because of different elevation, but maybe a real tuner could chime in.
