Mike said usually a stock evo x make a baseline of 245-250, but my baseline with the drop in was 258, i think...
correct me is i have any corrections ok Mike...
lwevert 05-21-2008, 12:28 AM Holy shitzu those are some nice number, congrats! I wish there was a tuner in or near San Antonio so I can get mine tuned.
Jackygor 05-21-2008, 01:18 AM now all you need to do is go to the track and tell us about the 1/4 on this beast :)
dcasandman 05-21-2008, 01:55 AM Where did you get your ralliart filter. I cant find one anywhere?
mitsugst4eva 05-21-2008, 02:30 AM now all you need to do is go to the track and tell us about the 1/4 on this beast :)
Now THAT'S some great and exciting news! I would like to see what you'd yield as well. The X seems to respond great to mods! T
on2it 05-21-2008, 03:04 AM ralli-art filter part number?
also was that HP ATW?
PDXEvo 05-21-2008, 04:14 AM Just out of curiosity, could you get the AFR curves as well as the boost you had on that run?

SCM has one...
and sometimes a guy on ebay puts one up...

The baseline 267hp runs were with a RRE Stealth Exhaust, rally cat and a RalliArt drop in filter. AFRs with that set up were 10.5 to 10.75 :1
After runs are with just the addition of the tune using ECUTek.
Boost before was 20 to 23 psi from 3250 up to 4K rpm. Then tapering to eventually 13.5 psi at redline.
Boost now is 21 to 23 psi between 3250 and 4K but tapers to 17psi. Injector duty cycles are topped out at 90% according to the ECUTek logger. At redline where the duty cycle is high it is only 19ms. I remember in DSM days not being alarmed or hitting fuel cut till over 22ms.
The car does like even leaner AFRs. But we'll stick with mid 11s for now on 91 octane.

PDXEvo 05-22-2008, 03:00 AM I wouldn't complain at all with mid 11's on 91. Great that you aren't getting any knock counts etc with that tune!
xtremeboost 05-30-2008, 03:07 AM Have some fun and take that thing to the track !!!!!

This confirms to me that my car has a lot more HP locked away.
I made 320awhp, and 360torque.
Great numbers!
Mightygnu 05-30-2008, 03:31 AM These things make so much power its ridiculous. lol
Talon_66 05-30-2008, 03:35 AM These things make so much power its ridiculous. lol
I was hoping I would put down 350-360awhp with the mods I have.
Im sure if I slapped on my manual boost controller, I could get more power.
Sorry for the off topic.

Definitely, your car is a beast waiting to be awakened. I think your tuner took a conservative approach.
DVDee 05-30-2008, 07:13 AM Nice numbers Seph09. But it looks like there's still a bit more to be had based on your mods.
Talon_66 05-30-2008, 07:15 AM Definitely, your car is a beast waiting to be awakened. I think your tuner took a conservative approach.
yes it is quite the conservative tune.
He said there is easily 20-30whp to be tapped. But we cant hold the boost up top. And I forgot my MBC the day of the tune.
The tuner actually contacted me today, to tell me he now has launch control on his ECUTek software and to come down for an on the house re-tune.
Anyways, back on topic.
DVDee 05-30-2008, 07:21 AM Nice, can't wait to see the updates. A lot of tuners are scared to push the Evo X since it's a new engine. That's understandable but I feel this engine has a lot to give.
Nooka King 05-30-2008, 02:18 PM so with 320 hp to the wheels you have about 400 crank hp, AWD has a 25% hp loss from the crank to the wheels
KDiggityDog76 06-03-2008, 05:35 PM Boost now is 21 to 23 psi between 3250 and 4K but tapers to 17psi. Injector duty cycles are topped out at 90% according to the ECUTek logger. Would a stronger waste gate actuator with a heavier spring allow you to hold higher boost all the way to redline? Would you have to worry about running lean if you did go that route, given how rich the X seems to come stock? I'm not understanding what is meant by injector duty cycles being topped out. Could someone elaborate?

I think the drivetrain loss is less then 25%...
example. (and I maybe completely incorrect, due to a lack of knowledge regarding dynos)
But. Mitsu rated this engine at 295hp.
Baseline dyno (dynapack) reads about 245hp.
Thats roughly an 18% drivetrain loss...
the boat 06-04-2008, 12:04 AM sick, im doing at least all that to my car!

sorry bro! I'm very clueless in tuning... what i posted is what the tuner replied to most questions in a diff forum... sorry again, I'm just a noob luck enough to get an X...
