Sorry it took a little longer than anticipated...but we got the video up yesterday from the TX Mile. Great event...actually pretty fun! I knew going in the car wasn't geared for the mile, but either way it was going to be a great spot to get some valuable engine testing done.

You'll see in the vid how long I have to cruise in 5th before going WOT again near the end of the traps. With proper gearing I think the car would easily hit 210+mph...maybe next time right? The car is making around 700whp on AMS' Mustang dyno and weighs around 2,850lbs. Also running KAPS dogbox with Group N gearing. We may hit the mile up again later this fall with a different set of gears...go for 210+

Very nice. How did the car feel at that speed? Did you see the Vette wreck?

Old post bump!

Just going over the numbers of 700 whp on the Mustang dyno, if it truely reads even almost as low as STM/Buschur then at 2850 lbs it would be good for low 9's @ 155 mph in the quarter. I don't even know what the record is these days on an Evo X but it might be fun to try.

Considering that kind of power/weight ratio and plugging some numbers into top speed calculators I think you could hit 220-230 mph given enough runway. In the standing mile I would say 210 mph should be doable with the right gears. :)

You are pretty much spot on to what we've calculated. The car WILL be ran in the 1/4 mile at some point, but there are some other events that need to be completed first. And top speed is so hard to guess, aerodynamics past 200mph are so important. We have my car set up to be very aerodynamically efficient, but even so. If we ever swap out ratios, I promise another run.

Hurry up and get out there! As for myself, I can't wait to hit the 1/4 mile, even though the car wasn't built for it. I really want to see how low into the 10's I can get.

Good deal man, would be great to see what blue can do in the 1/4 with it all dialed. Making sure the gears are ready for 200+ in the standing mile would also be awesome although as you said there are a ton of factors and to be the best at each you may need different gearing setups.

Will be great to see you at the 2012 One Lap of America. Leh Keen will be there for most of the week until he has to get to a Grand-am race sometime around Brainerd, likely he is only missing Road America and the Dry skid pad event. There are going to be a ton of fast cars and drivers there this year, of course how quickly they can get around the road courses might depend on how familiar they are with each track so there are definitely places we will do really well having already been there before. Hopefully there will be several Evo X's in the top 10 this year!
