Any WoW players here that haven't seen, they did a nice update on the WotLK site. They have some good Death Knight info with a cool character model and some other updates.

I used to play WoW but can't anymore due to satellite internet restrictions in Northern Canada.

Do you play?
If so what server/class/race/level?

I'll probably pick up the WotLK pack when it comes out and just level my character through the horrendous pings and lag that I get up here just to keep him current.

I do play, but by the time the x-pac comes out I don't know what server or character I'll be on lol. Guild planning stuff ^^

WC3 = Awesome

WoW = Awesome

Therefore (where both WC3 and WoW are levels of awesome)

WC3 = WoW

Which ATC system do you use?

Canadian Air Navigations services are split into three "branches" so to speak. IFR Control, VFR Tower control, and Flight Service Specialists (Uncontrolled, advisory airspace). I work at an FSS tower and we work very closely with the Montreal Area Control Centre which provides IFR control and clearances to the aircraft in our airspace.
I'm not sure which system you refer to Dino but I do have secondary surveillance radar at my site which reads the transponder codes of airplanes within 200nm in a circle around Iqaluit.

Ok I used to play too...that's why I had to make fun of you guys. I quit just before the Outlands expansion so I never got past 60. I was a 60 hunter on Bloodscalp.

58 bloodelf warlock on kargath...

I havent played in about 4-5 months atleast since Ive been super busy...

I might start playing again soon and I would probably play more - but at my level it takes forever to do anything worthwhile and I just havent had that kind of time to invest in a game...

If I have an half hour or hours time, I just play COD 4 online or something similar on teh xbox 360...

Yay! more people!

I used to be in a big raiding guild from when MC+Ony were all you had up to Naxx. But shortly after the x-pac my guild split and I quit for awhile. Just been leveling with the gf on a BElf priest recently. Gonna try a tanking DK when WotLK hits.

I support and develop for an ATC system called Micro EARTS.

Not familiar with that system. Does it integrate with the AFTN networks or is it an electronic delivery program or something? We're working with systems like FIMS (Flight information Management system), NARDS, MIDS and NCAMS, each of them with their own purpose.

I know the guys down in the National Operation Centers are using some sophisticated flight tracking and workload analyser systems but we'd never need that in the field.

edit: ok i've sent this thread way off topic. Kooldino I just googled it and realize what it is and what kind of services it supports and that's really cool you get to work on stuff like that. Canada (and Nav Canada in particular) will have some sort of system setup somewhere to help integrate all the new ADS-B sites that have been set-up in northern Canada in order to facilitate better separation and routing of oceanic IFR aircraft across the poles. We've been giving ourselves a huge pat on the back for all the hard work it's been implementing the system and I believe we still have a long way to go. Thanks for making our dreams possible! :D :thumbup:
