A Japanese Evo tuning shop named G Force just posted their test results on a fully stock Evo X SST with ECUTeK tuning. Dyno tests were done on a Dynopack and the results were:

Fully stock with stock ECU
237whp / 39.1kgm

Fully stock with just ECUTeK tuning
313whp / 44.9kgm

Almost 80whp from just ECUTeK tuning, that's pretty damn good. So far they aren't having any probs with the SST yet but they are a little worried. They're suppose to post updates so I'll try to keep all you SST fans informed with their testing results.

wow.......very nice.
My JDM SST will arrive early next month. I have already ordered some parts for tuning. (HKS suction pipe, cooler pipe, center pipe, exhaust, 19" prodrive wheel....etc)
I Really can't wait!

fwiw that links says 313 PS so that's 308.7 hp. plus we all know dynapacks traditionally read higher. either way, great gains and no probs with SST means great news!

Yes, generally Dynapacks read higher, but we won't start that flame war. I just wonder what the Tranny can actually take.

Yes, the number are a little off and dynapacks read high but it's the gains that really count:p The gains are higher than most US ECUTeK tuners due to the fact that they're messing with the MIVEC settings. I haven't heard of any US tuners changing with the MIVEC settings yet.
Also this tuner is offering 1 year worth of free tune updates but the cost is about $1400 USD for a generic tune and almost $2000 for vehicle specific tune (tune to your vehicle and dyno'd). I'm still waiting for more shops to release ECU reflashes before deciding on this one.

I am actually waiting for the first SST to blow up, so all the SST owners can have a rough estimate of how much power it can hold.

its good to know theres a decent amount of improvement though from just tuning. Makes me want to look even further into the ECUTek tuning...
