As some of you may know, Marlon (Perro del sol on 24/7) sets up Mazda Corrals for as many races as possible where the Speed World Challenge runs. Last weekend was the Lime Rock race (which will be televised Wednesday at noon on Speed). These corrals are setup to raise money for the charity Autism Speaks. Mazda donates lots of different swag for raffles for the corral participants. Several of us from the Cleveland 6 Club made the 8 hour drive to CT for this event. Over 40 Mazdas showed up and showed their support for the marque in motorsports. Many of the teams, including Tri-Point, Tindol, Horton, Racers Edge, and Speed Source gave paddock tours of their haulers and the cars. On Sunday, since motorsports are against the law in CT on Sundays, we had a big BBQ for the participants and invited the teams to come up and grab a bite. Most of the drivers, and most of the teams came up and looked at all the cars, then did a meet and greet with us, then grabbed some food. So many of them told us how they were more excited to see us than we were to see them. It was an awesome experience to be a part of.
