I will be getting my evo x within a month hopefully!!! That in mind I am trying to figure out what mods to install.
First, what is the difference between ecutek(reflash) and enginge managent and high end electronic boost controllers? Do reflashes like ECUTEK and VISHNU eliminate the need for a boost controller and engine management system?
Second, who makes turbo back exhaust for the evo currently or is developing it now?

Geez, the post has only been up for 1 hour ;)
The difference between Ecutek(reflash) and engine management:
Hrm, well, they are functionally the same thing. A reflash is using your stock ECU for the purpose of managing the car. Engine management isnt a device, its a method, and its what your ECU does. There are standalone engine management solutions, but they are very costly, and not mature enough for the car yet. So its not even an option.
On Boost Controllers:
With a re-flash, I believe they have some control over the stock ECU, but I dont know that for sure.
You dont need an engine management system, because you already have one via the stock ECU.
Your final question has been answered all over the forums, so just do a quick search.

how do you get the search function working?
So if I get the vishnu procede is it still good to get a cheap ebc maybe?

I heard that the vishnu isnt worth it. too much splicing and crap like that

what do you mean? Too hard to install? WHat do you recommend then? ECUTEK and an mbc or something?

They are working on a harness (once they get around to it) that won't require any splicing.

Shiv through email told me it would be plug and play, absolutely no splicing. It will be a version of the one on the kick butt BMW, but made for the EVO. It is pricey but good alternative if someone wants to be stealthy to a dealer, since it can just be unplugged.

I got the ECUtek and Boost is controlled by the ECU
$750 for the flash that will gain you 50-75hp on the wheels. depends on the octane fuel and tuner... boost on my car was set on 21-23psi (depends on climate condition) tapers down to 17psi on redline.
here's my thread http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4718&page=2
greddy now has a good exhaust out there w/ a test pipe included for $550
I however decided to get one made w/ resonators to avoid getting pulled over.

ok, i guess a harness would def. eliminate the splicing pain
