USLegalTender 05-29-2008, 07:41 AM Was that an SES going off at the end of the track in your vid, or what is the beeping?
And are you guys making enough power to actually see the fueling starting to lean out above 10:1 afrs?? Or how was that accomplished. What's the smoothing on the dyno??
jApOrMs 05-29-2008, 11:37 AM WILL you be selling parts too?
DaemonSadi 05-29-2008, 02:22 PM My god, what was that you were running against?
xtremeboost 05-29-2008, 02:48 PM My god, what was that you were running against?
LOL , that was a twin turbo Fox body stank , its actually a low 10 second car but running mid 10's because of the crappy heat ..The owner is a very cool older guy we had jokes all night long for eachother.
DVDee 05-29-2008, 02:50 PM Impressive numbers.

B1GHAM 05-29-2008, 05:43 PM wow - into the 11s already...

nice run with those mods... I cant believe the power you are putting down with just bolt-ons. thats really exciting.
SATimko 05-29-2008, 06:58 PM So...what you're telling me is that the Evo got beat by a Mustang...
Just playing man. Good times!

I am sure you will be! You guys have done some great stuff!
on2it 05-30-2008, 04:03 AM I'm assuming you can drop atleast another .3-.5 of a second by loosing a bit of weight (from the car) and a few more practice runs.. what do you think?
xtremeboost 05-30-2008, 04:05 AM I am sure you will be! You guys have done some great stuff!
our 11.92 run was at a spike of 26lbs and holding 24-25lbs , next time we'll be running 30lbs :godance:

Its VERY important to ME for us to make the runs on full interior ! The ONLYTHING missing from our car is our spare tire and front support which we took out only to fit our custom intercooler . I strongly believe that people should know that their cars WILL do WITHOUT them taking out half the car . I sometimes run the car with my kids baby seat in it - people love that - lol
LancerGTS 05-30-2008, 04:23 AM that was so my idea!!!

I couldn't agree more. I'm not stripping mine for sure.
xtremeboost 05-30-2008, 05:03 AM I couldn't agree more. I'm not stripping mine for sure.
The way I see it is this . Lets say I tell you I just ran a 10.2 on a stock turbo . Then you ask - " what are your mods" - I then say ( with-in my list of mods I add ) I took out 400lbs from my car , all I have in my interior is the steering wheel and boost gauge . I'm sure you and many others will NOT take your 33K car strip it and risk damage just to get a good run at a track - that makes no sense to me and it looks you feel just the same .. My car will run whatever it will run to whatever limits it has with all my parts still in it , I will never take anything out for any reason ...

Er....sorry for the noob questions but what is an FMIC and an EBC? And where did you get the custom (exhaust?) header? I assume it is a straight bolt-up to the turbo and cylinder head?
Regards
K.

FMIC = front mount intercooler
EBC = electronic boost controller
The header is a 100% bolt-on and built by us . The exhaust was done by ExhaustDepot.com in south Florida .
mr.clark707 06-05-2008, 07:12 AM right on xtremeboost.
cchan3761 08-30-2008, 12:35 AM Did you get the matching Recaro seats? lol

fatalwishes 08-30-2008, 01:08 AM Is your intake custom as well? I've read about a lot of problems with intakes. Seems as though the cars pull harder and run better with the stock intakes. Apparently they MAF sensors are super sensitive???
I'd like to lock one down in my sites that actually does something positive.

Shes now old enough for it , we're going out over the weekend to get her one.

Well , after testing out a few designs I ended up where I am now and I have zero problems with my intake and others ! The issue sometimes is that some just make and sell what "looks" good and fits well , but with the X that all goes out the window in a hurry !!! The stock intakes are actually junk that need to go - LOL .
Spoonie 09-04-2008, 01:51 AM .255 and .483 reaction times!! That other guy shouldn't have even been allowed on the track
meat_EVO 09-04-2008, 03:01 AM haa.. nice old post.. gotta get the posts back up!
xtremeboost 09-04-2008, 03:42 AM .255 and .483 reaction times!! That other guy shouldn't have even been allowed on the track
Reaction time only comes in to play when you're actually racing , running to get a time slip - who cares .

We did go a few weeks ago and ran 32lbs but all we did was spin badly :mad: . We think is because the tire were not broken in yet so we'll try again tomorrow at 28-29lbs looking for an 11.7 run ..
