One of the most technically challenging tracks in the country, in conditions that are threatening to have track shut down. Thank you AWD, and screw you ASC :D

I think I learned more about throttle steering and skid management in these ~20 mins than I have in all other track weekends I've ever done combined.

your telemetry seems to be a few seconds behind in the rainy video. Threw me for a loop for a second. (He's going 65 through a hairpin?!?! OMG!)

Yea, the main video stream got out of sync with both the audio and the telemetry stream :( I merged it all using AVSSynth and VirtualDub. Everything was at different frame rates. If I feel ambitious, I might give it another go tonight and re-upload ;)

Using racechrono for data logging?
no, using trackmaster for android. Racechrono2AVI takes the trackmaster output and makes the overlay AVI, then I overlay that on to the in-car video (recorded with cellphone camera).

The GPS craps out a bit and the cam speed seems to fluctuate. My battery was painfully low so it was kinda struggling to keep going :)

That's a narrow track. Maybe it was designed for motorcycles?

yea, its actually used for tactical driving training. from an HPDE standpoint, i've herd it called the best autocross track in the world :) i know the secret service, bunch of special forces, and several corporate security places (blackwater types) book it up all week. there's also a firing range at the track! They have a huge fleet of XJ jeeps, caprices and crown vics that they use to do ramming and evasion drills.

I'll bold my favorite :D

First time I read that I thought you said you were going to take out the oak tree at VIR doing that!!!

Did you notice the corner worker holding the yellow flag in the background - either the car took the turn like that under a yellow caution flag (big no-no), or the worker was just getting one ready for when this car wrecks.
