All the colt speed stuff on their web site looks awsome. I would have all of it if it wasnt so expensive. Hell exhuast and intake would cost you 4k OUCH!!!

I think the photo did not show very clear how it works when hood is closed. The top part os the opening will be covered by the hood, leaving some air hole for direct air from the center grill. You see how the front air hole is angled to sit flash with the hood.

you get cooler, denser air (more air) into the "cold" side of the turbo which does benefit for a cooler intake charge, air is then cooler throughout the entire intercooler system thus making more power. helps prevent your intercooler form getting heat soaked. the MAF also reads the cooler more dense air which is more equal to the air as it exits the intercooler and flows into the combustion chamber.

short answer- makes more power.
