: Hot or Not?
antics22 06-04-2008, 06:01 PM Thought I'd change the front end of the X a bit to make it a bit more unique... Never was quite a fan of the front fogs that come standard on the GSR.... Thoughts?
The LED driving lights are really more for appearance... Not bright enough to act as fogs. If I decide to keep the look, Ill probably look at getting some better LEDs.
In addition, Ill be adding some black mesh back into those holes... not sure I like them exposed like that. I'll try to source the bezels and factory mesh from an RS... SiC do you have a way to find the part numbers? I saw that you had replaced the mesh on one side.... thx for looking!

antics22 06-04-2008, 06:38 PM Mr How-To here...
Looks like a popular request so Ill put together something for you guys... currently, im not too excited about the LED bar that Im using... Ill source something better and put a DIY together for u guys.
Looks kind of cool and works with the lines of the car. I think mesh grills from the same material as the center grill would finish it off perfectly.

That would make me very nervous having the bicycles so close to the car!
Kooldino 06-04-2008, 06:54 PM Can't wait for a how-to.
SpicyMchaggis 06-04-2008, 06:55 PM yes.

haha, Seriously right? Unfortunately for me, the 2-car garage is pretty small to begin with and my wife likes to park close to me, thus I try to hug my side of the wall as close as possible. That bike rack hasn't let me down in 2 years... *knocks on wood*

EVOLUTIONARY 06-04-2008, 07:27 PM HOT at night!
NOT during the day. I'm not a big fan of the huge gaping black holes you can see during the day. Kinda looks like a Lancer GTS in the day pics for some reason. Maybe it's the angle and lens?
bio-chem 06-04-2008, 07:45 PM nice.
AmpedEvoX 06-04-2008, 08:14 PM Damn Ant,
Freakin sweet. When did you do that? I don't remember seeing that last week. Bada$$.
:props:
99GSeX 06-04-2008, 08:16 PM That looks sick man, nice job. Just like Evo X Prototype
X-Dan 06-04-2008, 11:20 PM Kinda gives it the audi R8 look
:hititsign:
Malves85 06-04-2008, 11:28 PM Ill be the first bummer....
That big hole just kills it. It looks good the first time you see it but then that hole pops out and thats all you see. Great idea and looks inasne on Audis but I dont know for this one. Maybe the mesh will help finish it off and take that black hole away. Not sure if this would look better but if the mesh was a silver or grayish, kind of like the MR front grill, it might help lighten up and fill in that gap.
i think that it looks real good. agree on mesh but still looks good
ARC_EVO 06-05-2008, 12:03 AM how too how too !!!!!
DVDee 06-05-2008, 12:11 AM Hot, I've been waiting for the Carbon fibre foglight surrounds before I removed them but this looks hot.
You can check the surrounds on the link below.

Jackygor 06-05-2008, 12:18 AM argh! I just bought HID for my fogs! D=
looks hot~the LED color really match the projector headlights, hope to see your how-to very soon. are your projector bulbs stock? if not can u tell me which brand is that?
Hot, I've been waiting for the Carbon fibre foglight surrounds before I removed them but this looks hot.
I'm waiting for the the surrounds too man. I think they would look real nice on a WW. But, like everybody says mesh is a must and also if the LED's were just a little bigger. The ones on the prototype were slightly bigger and that would look better.
on2it 06-05-2008, 06:20 AM just like the concept pics.. HOT.

livnpaintball2 03-04-2010, 03:08 AM i was just thinking about doing this and this popped up on the search, looks good!
bradze 03-04-2010, 03:15 AM i think it looks great but you need some mesh covering those holes. i know ricers think its cool not having anything there, but thats just plain stupid.
Captain-NOKTURNAL 03-04-2010, 06:50 AM is all about JDM that is why they need to be yellow..lol... any how it looks hot.. but the mesh is a must
chopshop 03-04-2010, 07:25 AM man that looks hot.
livnpaintball2 03-20-2010, 03:27 PM anyone know how makes those particular ones shown?
kuvesh 03-21-2010, 08:46 AM we are driving mitsubishi's not audi's... go jdm!
livnpaintball2 03-21-2010, 05:13 PM anyone know how makes those particular ones shown?
anyone?:waiting:
EVLEVO 03-21-2010, 05:20 PM I think it looks awesome.
I've never been a big fan of the fog lights either. They're roundness just doesn't work with the strong, aggressive lines of the rest of the car, and especially with the hard/straight lines of the front fascia and headlights.
Did a "how-to" ever get posted on this one?

hollywood_X 03-22-2010, 10:19 PM So wait wait...............
Let me get this straight people are actually approving of LED in the front and telling him to add mesh... wait.... I'm confused.... is it April 1st?
px.evo 03-22-2010, 10:50 PM My opinion: not.

Not my cup o tea.
crsv82 03-22-2010, 11:27 PM Looks really hot. Maybe with the fog light delete kit and this LED's...
BTW don't wanna get off topic but check out this led lights

ak47m203 03-22-2010, 11:32 PM with alll the wannabe, this is better.
Sinister_X 03-23-2010, 03:33 AM I can certainly appreciate the creativity and cleanliness of this set up, but I cannot get passed taking out my yellows for a strip of LEDs. I personally prefer the JDM look. So IMO, it is hot, but not for me.
undone 03-23-2010, 03:54 AM I was actually thinking of an LED bar myself, I'm glad you posted pics for me to see before hand. Thinking now I don't like it as much haha sorry :)
However, I gotta agree, need some mesh in there. Are the fog light chrome rings easy to take off? I might just remove the light assembly and chrome and leave the half mesh/circle hole. Might look stupid, but easy to put back :P
Interested to hear if you can find the JDM fog light delete cheaper than at Japan Parts, or some matching mesh.
Either way HOT or NOT, thx for giving it a try and posting pics!
blincoln423 07-13-2010, 09:09 PM any new info on the how to and what was used to do this?
dandle83 07-14-2010, 05:14 AM I think it's HOT.
