This weekend was San Diego Region Porsche Club of America autocross.

Great San Diego day, temp was 83, sunny. Lots of porsches, 7 S2000's, 2 M3's, 1 EVO (driven by my son this weekend, pic of him with an instructor) and 1 Mustang SVO (me).

A few people asked about the Mike Lomker decal, I relayed the story. They thought the response of the communities online was awesome, and thought the decals were a wonderful way to honor an active participant in the forums.

I don't know exactly when the Porsche club races, their club is pcasdr - you might find them online somewhere. My son's instructor owns a 996 c2, so he called about a week ago and let him know it was coming up. There is one next Saturday and Sunday - 9 and 10 July - but I think it is regular scca, so it will be a tighter track.

We will be there, though, it might just be my son in te EVO, the Mustang developed an ignition problem on the way home. I will be there watching or driving, just depending. There will likely be a 9 and two 8's, also. The guy with the red 8 is a past national champion, he is really cool, helped my son out a lot with awd driving tips.
