Got a really good deal on the EBC Red Stuff brake pads.... Now the only thing is that on the site when I enter the search for the X is shows a part # which is
Front: DP31210C
Rear: DP31538C

First question is does anyone know if these are 100% the right ones?

Now onto the problem, I installed the pads on the stock rotors which were still good. No major grooves or anything, just light marks from normal wear.
I installed the pads and everything fitted perfect, nice and snug and stuff, BUT, when I drove the car around the block these things were squeaking like crazy. I thought I would give it time to break in a little and drove home local with a lot of stop and go traffic...... Man was I embarrassed, these things made so much noise it had everyone looking.
Does anyone know if they should be making this sound at all? or does it make it until they break in a little more? I put about 35 miles on it with stop and go traffic.
Would the wear in the rotors cause this type of noise? What should I look at to maybe fix the problem?

All and any help is GREATLY appreciated.

That is normal for EBC reds
EBC reds will squeaking like a bitch when warming up, remember those are for race application. After warm up it will squeak alittle less. Get ready to buy a new set of rotors because the ebc reds will eat the shit out of the stock rotors.
When installing the brake pads did u apply high temp lube?

TYVM! I just checked your reply and it was deff the case.

The pads in the rears were for a 8/9 but since I had a friend install the rears while I did the front I didnt notice the size difference in the pads. Will be putting the stock pads back on tomorrow while I get the rear pad adaptors for the X. Once I get the adaptors and install the pads hopefully everything works perfect.

I don't know how I missed this post earlier, but I'm glad to see you found the problem quickly.
