anyone know anything about it?
I see places with it for sale, but the cobb site still shows in development.
I would be interested in hearing how good it is. I like the idea of being able to revert back to the stock map myself if needed as well as being able to update maps from the internet. I wonder if their maps are going to be as good as the majority of the mail in ones.

Where do you see it for sale?? For the EVO X? Links please.
It's not available for the X yet. Last time I pinged them they were still working on it, but rumor has it that it's not high on the list.
I remember reading that the 08 STI version added only about 28whp so if it's the same for the X, you can probably do better with a custom tune or mail order flash for less $$$.
Also, the Open Port 2.0 cable is now available and so there will hopefully be a ECUflash for the X soon which basically does he same thing as the Accessport (but much cheaper).

Accessport for X is not out yet, and they dont have a release date. I have emailed them several times. I know perrin gets much bigger gains from the AP then Cobb does from there own device. Look on their site their 08 Sti is tuned with the Accessport. That get gains along the same lines as the EVO.

a evom member called and they told him end of the year for the AP. I hope so, if it adds as much as the ECUtek tunes right off the bat(i dont see why not). I would buy it in a heartbeat. Well see.

I don't think the AP straight from the shelf will have as impressive numbers as a custom tune, so yes the AP will have lower numbers but if you can tune or know how to tweak the parameters it should have the same #'s as ecutek.

ECUtek is not just custom, look at Kooldino mail in ECUtek flash. Same thing applies, if they can do it so can COBB, or should be able to.

Same with all the mail-in's that are popular with ECUtek.... Custom on AP ECUtek or what ever will always be better the OTS maps... But being able to instantly flash with a hand held for multiple maps is a life saver. In my old car that was flashed for 91 from 87 I had a friend drive my car and put 87 back in. Thank god I had the flasher to put it back to 87. So the AP has tons of advantages, such as on the spot flashing without lugging around a laptop....which even with ECUtek u gotta be a vendor to use there softwear right? While Cobb will have softwear for the end user to use....
