Oops...posted this to the wrong area before....

I saw the threads on making the Evo X nav system play DVD's while driving and they are a convoluted mess. Can someone please run through this modification in simple and exact terms?

Where to get patch?

How to burn it to CD?

How to install on Nav system?

Thanks!

If you can get it to work...let me know...I downloaded the patch. Got an ISO burner and made the CD just like everyone said. Loaded it into the Nav system and the system crashed. I was told it must have been corrupted disc or download,,,Took it to the dealer and played dumb...they could not figure out what was wrong with it and put in a new one. Be real careful....One of my replys was from a guy who is a computer engineer who said just pull out the hard drive and copy it manually...easy for him to say...I am just a dumb doctor. There isn't a way to recover if the patch goes bad....

before installing any cd, I would remove the harddrive and put it in my desktop, copy all the files onto a backup drive. then install the files for the patch. If it doesn't work, you have a backup.

how do you remove the hard drive? I read on a thread about pulling it...but then how does the average guy hook it up to your laptop?
