I know that there is already a thread about this but I cant find it, i too noticed that after about 5000 rpm the car hesitates and what I read the newreflash is supposed to correct that, So I called my dealership here in san diego and they said that the reflash is for a specific vin number and is to address the check engine light, so Did I misread or did the service dept not know what the heck is going on??? :wtfsign:

Hey guys, i just called up the dealership where i bought my evo and asking for a ecu reflash and stated of the problem like the rough idling at stop signs and stop light. and I asked them if I can get a reflash and they said the car need to have the Check Engine Light On is this true.

Once thing I have learn't, DONT make them intimidate you! You are the customer/consumer, they cannot sell you a defected item and expect you to just walk away with it. This is the U.S.A, a country where legal litigations run things. I didn't have a check engine light when I took mine in for a flash. I just raised hell saying that this is inappropriate to sell me a car that can't idle properly (it still doesn't idle properly after the flash but in either case) tell them to fix it.

lmao if a check engine light is on? whos your dealership i want to call and tell them they are idiots. when i got my reflash i just took my car to the dealership with no appointment and said i want the reflash. they just said "oh ok cool going to take around 20-30 minutes" (socalmitsu) the reason why they dont like doing reflashes to customers cars is because the service department doesnt make any money off it. (this was said by mitsu sales people)

Maywood Mitsubishi, in New Jersey 800-724-1189, give them a call if you want and give them a piece of your mind. I'm a nice and calm guy that's why i didn't cuss him (Chris) out. But no doubt I will be going in and demand reflash. Any word of suggestions.
