Have you tryied Google Chrome browser? What do you think?
Generally I liked it, but it's 0.2 not even a beta. So there is much work to be done. Some sites (some blogs on Wordpress) are displayed totally wrong, nothing similar with initial design :(. Hope that it will be fixed..

Well maybe it will be my main browser too, but for now I'm using Opera at home and FF at work :sway:

I use it,
things ive noticed,
It runs Java script faster than ie or firefox.
every tab you use also runs independently so if one app crashes it won't take anymore down with it
the tab page is very nice because it shows you a screen shot of your most viewed sites so you can load them up more conveniently
the downloads are a bit different though :p they are shown on the bottom tab of the current tab
it def needs an update though..

Here is why:
1. Java script is "faster" on chrome over FF because chrome is yet to include all those wonderful extensions / extension support which largely run JS. Obviously for google to release a full version w/out user modabilty would be retarded so expect slower speeds comparable to FF.
2. Apps wont crash separately because each tab is multithreaded - single dedicated thread per child window instead of having a parent that manages all the tabs - I think someone might have already had that before goog... dont quote me on that (they prolly purchased that "someone" lol). But, expect other browsers to follow suit...
3. Yea the Tab page is nice... but IMHO I dont see the functionality - it is nothing different than FF's saved pages... sure its nice and purty - but its easier for me to identify text than look between 10-20 pages especially when you have 10 pages from evoxforum open with all of them looking exactly the same :p - maybe thats just me
4. And im am definately not so down with the downloader... Im sure they will fix that next
Side notes:
The split and joining of tab idea is AWESOME... I just wish firefox had done that first.
Its very minimalistic for now... so its fast... I want to see how it scales...
But I use it sometimes... but I rely too much on FF extensions and my overall familiarity w/ it to at least hold off until google gives me something more feature laden

No, that's not the reason. The reason is that Chrome does some kind of sorcery to compile the code and run it as a native app rather than as an interpreted language...or something along those lines.

Chrome was the first, AFAIK. And there's nothing to "purchase"...it's not like it's some prototype technology to fork a process.

Seriously? Seeing thumbnails of all of your tabs in one screen (while not an entirely Chrome-unique feature) is a lot easier for most people. Hence why Expose is such a big hit on the Mac.

Ditto.
Plus Chrome for Linux isn't even out yet.

Yes yes... of course... but i hold a VERY VERY high standard of expectation from google... of late--- i have been seeing some crap come out of them... lets hope this one is well thought of...
And... it does matter... as far as being purchased goes... applying the concept of the fork @ browser page level is new software technology... If I had done it first and gotten a patent... I would be posting a 9 second Evo X GSR LOL at my mansion in Hawaii of course :p

Chrome will get another look from me once it gets a much needed update. Right now Firefox 3 is superior.
