As long as it's 91 or up I don't know what, if any difference there would be.
I'm fortunate enough to be able to get 94 at some Mohawk and Husky stations in Winnipeg, Portage and Brandon so I've never really worried about it.
Mohawk and Husky use ethanol blended fuels but the owners manual suggests it so I figure there is no harm.
Where is there Sunoco in Canada? I've never heard of it.

I think shell and sunoco gas are the same as far as quality goes. They probably use a different blend, but probably yield the same.

sunoco is american gas, shell gets theirs from the middle east, one of the reasons why shell is so expensive, i prefer sunoco now anyways, its the sponsor gas of nascar really good gas

I always get my gas at Petro-Canada with 94 octane. It is the only place we can get 94 octane here in Quebec.

As long as you put nothing less than 91 octane you should be fine.

I wonder what would be the difference in performance if any between 91 & 94 octane?

I read that between those two types of gas...you can get 5hp....wow...don't worth it.

So long as you use a nice big facility that sees a lot of traffic and you know they keep their tanks up to date it is all the same thing. I use a Shell because it is a nice big clean facility and right down the corner from me and the price is always very good.

In my area Sunoco is actually always the most expensive. I used to be a big fan of them when they carried 94 Octane but since they discontinued it there really isn't a difference between them or Shell or BP or Exxon.

Just don't fill up at run down small places with low volume. If they aren't making a good profit they will cut corners in service to try and recoup some money. This usually affects the end user.

I use both but F1 Ferrari supports Shell... and F1 is better than Nascar. :P

I use both but F1 Ferrari supports Shell... and F1 is better than Nascar. Better? Just cause they spend more money, have better and faster cars, have cutting-edge race car technology versus 60's-era stuff? Or because they use talented young drivers instead of recycled old guys? Or cause they have more people around a car during a pitstop than are on a whole NASCAR team?

What exactly do you mean by better?

hehehe

You two are so mean!

Don't listen to them, Nascar is way better than these F1 shenanigans! Right hand turns are for punks. I'd love to see one single F1 car in a Nascar race and see what happens. Embarrassment that's what.

Besides I will take a drunk, slightly over weight lady with a farmers tan over an Italian supermodel any day of the week anyway, so there!

Pfft! F1, I'd tell ya what the F really stands for but I don't want to get in trouble.

(Pay no mind to my avatar BTW)

An F1 car against a NASCAR car in a race? Oh, puleeze. What would the F1 team do for the last two hours that the NASCAR car was still completing their laps? That's funnier than running a GP bike against an F1 car on a road course. Can you say pwn3d? Sure, I knew you could.

So you don't know any Italian women, no? Or just had better luck with drunken rednecks?

(Don't forget to watch the Singapore race this weekend. Practice already happened. I wear my sunglasses at night.)

I use Conoco/Phillips or Shell here in Oklahoma. We only have a couple of gas stations that have over 91 oct gas and they are Shell

dcasandman. I heard from a friend of mine that was up there (somewhere near Oklahoma City, I know it's a huge area but follow me...) and he found 100 octane gas at a station...

Went to one nascar race. Was ready to leave after the 1st lap lol. I personally enjoy watching motorcycle racing. Moto GP, WSB, AMA, etc.

Tell me you wouldn't want to see it just once, LOL. The dudes would be like, :wtfsign:. Not to mention the sound of a single F1 car would make the entire NASCRAP field sound like humming birds. Though they need to bring back engine braking as they don't sound like they used to on deceleration. In Montreal this year I was like, what the hell? No more sweet back fires on down shifts?!

I wonder how much wing they could remove off them for an oval circuit and what top speed they could achieve. I'd say 220-230 would be possible to still be stable around the corners. Sadly we probably will never know.

(I missed the race! Only saw practice and Qualifying :(. Read the report when I arrived home.)

Is Sunoco really the only 94 octane station in Toronto??? I just checked PetroCanada and they don't sell 94 in Ontario.

There are no Sunoco's near me (downtown) so would be nice to find an alternative... I usually fill up at Esso with 91.

I have a lot of sunoco's around my area, 94 is the best! I live in a small town and every muscle car/ modded import would always use the sunoco, but now they tore that down so I have to drive 10-15min to the next one :(

not that I need 94 for my rsx-s 91 would work the same! but I use it for my 69 Dodge Dart Swinger and my father uses it for all his old muscle cars!
