when I bought my Evo X MR SST (in the Netherlands) I wanted to add as "pimp" option the nice looking alloy/leather gear shift knob with Lancer Evolution logo and the same kind of handbrake lever. However, my dealer told me these two items did cost in the order of $400-500 each! Of course for that price I did not take these two "vanity" items. Is this the real price? Can some dealer provide them for a more reasonable price?

I think you misunderstood them, it is $500 for both, I just bought both for $480.00.
