People.com article with Kanye complaining about his pussy hurting. (http://www.people.com/people/package/article/0,,20053775_20055712,00.html)

Hahahaha. Stupid overpaid rappers. Did he even put out a video last year? Perhaps he failed to understand that something from 3 years ago doesn't count.

at the begining of the VMA's (my g/f wanted to watch the Britney opener) Kanye said that his album release on the same day as someone elses album was going to be the biggest event ever in all of music history.

He needs to get hit by a bus.

Ok, know what I think of him?

If it wasn't for my ex listening to pop radio, I would never have known who he is. Hell, when Dream Theater's Live at Buddokan DVD was released, me and several friends had a viewing party. I can't see people doing that for Kanye West...especially not to the extent that he's making himself out to be. I mean...he's making it seem like he's the new incarnation of The Beatles.

GET OVER YOURSELF! You'll be a bankrupt nobody in 5 years anyway. Go buy another Bentley...fuckwit.

Yeah, Kanye is a retard, but he can make a good song.

+1

I am sure that because of my g/f, I have heard him on the raido, but the only reason that I know his name is because of controvery (the crown of thorns/crucifix thing) or from him being a loudmouth.

Sure, his stuff isn't bad, not my first choice, but he's good at what he does.

What I can't stand is the mentality of rappers where everything is the biggest and baddest bling they can buy. My hometown is sinking into a bigger and bigger depression. No jobs, etc...but you will always see an Escalade on 26's wherever you go. I dunno about you, but I have a pretty decent job and can't even afford that.

It upsets me sometimes when people like this make their album sound like the biggest thing to ever hit this world...when there are some really talented musicians that will never be heard of. Rapping...sure, it takes a degree of skill to come up with lyrics (providing they actually write them) and doing it all to a catchy rhythm set forth by a record producer who is just leading the Lemmings that are the typical music listener.

End Rant.

That being said, I still listen to almost everything. I just don't like the people.

I know I quoted you but this applies to everyone whose posted.

You know what I can't stand? People who blame music/artists for the way people act. I hate to break it to you but ANYONE whose made it as far as Kanye West has generally comes with this attitude, yet we generally dismiss it. Why? We don't see it all the time but Kanye has done something that many of us could not... he appeals to almost every audience. I'll bet there's one tune of his you'd enjoy.

While it might not be the area you would've devoted your passion too but it certainly feels good to know your on top.

So lets not hate the poster child for Corporate America let's go back to not liking what's mainstream. I understand there's a lot of talent out there that often goes unheard but I can promise that many reasons exist other thennot meshing with our current motif.

What makes me laugh is that Metallica's "...And Justice For All" album lost the heavy metal album of the year award in 1988 to Jethro Tull of all bands. There was no hissy fit from them. When they got an award for the Black Album, first thing Lars did was thank Jethro Tull for not putting out an album that year.

Yeah. Because everything is racial. Reminds me of a good quote I read recently:

"...the advocates of so-called 'diversity' actually perpetuate racism. Their obsessions with racial group identity is inherently racist..."

-Congressman Ron Paul

A-fucking men.

oh well, the real question now is, how long before he realizes that he needs MTV... MTV is his market.

I've said that for the longest.

I would love for more artist to take a stance against MTV... obviously with slightly better motives.

P.S. If you noticed at the end of the video the rights are owned by paramount which is owned by Viacom which also owns MTV. Wonder why they would put this out

even MTV2 is all tvshows now.

I remember when I was little, all that MTV showed was videos, what happened?

Even Beavis and Butthead showed more videos than the who station does currently
