I'd like to show this photo to you guys, it the first and only photo of the car before it's reveal at SEMA. I've been working on this new program for more than a year, and it's finally a reality. The goal of the project is to give back to everyone I've worked with on my Evo, as well as the Evo community as a whole.

Of note - this photo was taken the night after I picked it up...not the finished product.

It's actually an 09 GSR...with an MR front grill. That's how I picked it up, not necessarily staying that way. I understand there isn't much info, but I mean yea I'm working on a new Evo X, and a supporting program, that will be revealed at SEMA. It hasn't been done before, so I have to keep the details pretty quiet sorry.

Fair enough. Reliability ultimately means lower cost in the long run. IIRC, Ryan went though a few motors. That's not exactly inexpensive nor has it been for those following his mod path. If there's an alternate route that is actually reliable, great.

It also generates heat like you wouldn't believe. Meth/water injection or nitrous is almost always used in those applications simply to cool down the air charge coming out of the turbo. Like 500* air vs ~300* on a turbo-only.

It's actually an 09 GSR...with an MR front grill. That's how I picked it up, not necessarily staying that way. I understand there isn't much info, but I mean yea I'm working on a new Evo X, and a supporting program, that will be revealed at SEMA. It hasn't been done before, so I have to keep the details pretty quiet sorry.

Just wanted to share I guess. I'm pumped on it, and I know that you all will be when it's revealed.

They might sell the necessary parts as a package outside of the car too, who knows? This would indeed be returning to the community, as long as the warranty is actually a warranty by any long shot and if it does not cost over 40 - 45 grand.

Because such users were not the ones to install and test the entire combination.....that's what their answer is going to be.

A GSR brand new in Canada is 45K'ish. I bet this special edition car is 20K plus over regular price tag. 60K Canadian at least.

I just checked out the site and the car is really pretty, but I must say I am very disappointed. I don't see how it would help anyone who already has a modded Evo X... Which is about all of us in the community. I would just stick with a FP Black build or larger and just have fun with the car. The dealership always tries to find a way not to warrant a evo modded or not! I am sure this thing will be no different. I must say BOOOOOOOOO

True, we all know how dealerships are now. I don't see it working... They will most like say you were street racing your car and turn you away. I have seen it done to others that just had exhaust and intake. I mean for the amount you will pay for this thing I am sure you could just buy a GSR and MOD it to make more power for cheaper then they will offer this thing for.

Been out for the morning... I took some time to read through all of the comments here. I'm sorry some of you guys are disappointed. You shouldn't be though. What we are offering here is pretty special, a complete car that is obviously going to be quick on the track, but more importantly one that is amazing on the street.

I'll have some time tomorrow to go more in-depth with all of you about the thought process behind the program and anything else you may want to know. Don't be so quick to judge. Also, I don't owe anything to anyone. I worked hard to develop my own car that has produced tons of developments throughout our community. This program gives back to the community in many number of ways. We don't have a factory program like the FQ Series overseas, so I worked with Mitsubishi to develop something for our shores. And I feel like what we have in the 311RS is a much better package than the FQ cars.

But with your build-up and 'secret packages' and shit, we expected something that was actually more than putting the same parts everyone already has on a car and selling it new. Don Herring mitsubishi will sell and warranty fully bolt-on and tuned Cobb cars. Exact same thing as this, except they didn't make all the bs marketing behind it.



More rant: page 2, franky says its either a 7 second car or a hybrid. And Ryan chides him with 'you're thinking so inside the box'. And somehow a bolt-on car with a nice set of coilovers is outside the box? Half the fucking site has the same setup as this car.

I'm sorry man, i've been known on this forum to call a spade a spade. Producing 11 cars for your personal financial benefit does not give back to the community... it gives back to 11 people who are going to pay $$$ for a track car with warranty, yourself, and your "partners" (they are called partners because they put money into a project expecting a return on their investment, this means these cars cost $$$$)... from whom this warranty comes we don't have clarification yet. With mitsu's past history of warranty denials I doubt this warranty covers shit as far as tracking the car. For street use I could believe, but once you put it on a track I can see a big red X on the warranty papers.

Amazing is Exhaust, Intake, Turbo Upgrade, Intercooler, Bigger injector, & E85.. Now that is Amazing!!! Hands down ... 350whp/360wtq is sad to think that my car pulled more WHP & TQ and could out perform that when I was still running a 2.0.... I would also put down a months salutary I spent less on MOD pluse a brand new evo x then one of these will go for

Does this warranty include tracking the car?
What were you smoking when you thought this was giving back to the "community as a whole"?
