It was 46 psi all around...max load is 44 in front and 40 in the rear. Man, who the hell prepped my car?! Some thing bad could have happened!

Yep heaps of members have reported very high psi when purchased. its because MMC prep them hard for transportation.

I usually keep my tires at 40psi. they should be checked every 2 weeks.

A tire specialist said that anything 18inches and above should be at 38-40psi because of 'usually' having lower profile tires on them and if you run too low you risk damaging your rims.

So i checked my tire pressure and I'm at 25psi on all 4 tires. The first tire I was like "oh shit it's leaking" but then when all 4 tires were 25psi I figure that Mitsu must have purposely done that. Can anyone think of a reason for this?

I'm gonna go fill them up more, what psi should I make them?

thanks

Mine were all at 46+ psi... i wish I had found that out before putting 4700 km on them! I didn't find out until I got my oil changed at my regular mechanic. He was shocked they were inflated that much.

Shouldn't this be part of the PDI?

Doesn't the door sill tell you about recommended tire pressure ??

Mine says 220kpa (31psi) front 200kpa (29psi) rear nominal

I put 32 psi on all 4 wheels, that's what the manufacture recommends on the door sill. When Mitshubishi delivered the car I had 38 psi.

Just bought my X MR last Tuesday. Tires were 55 psi as delivered all around.

I'm going to run 32 psi all around, as the mfr recommends. Anything more, and the ride gets much harder and you're wearing the middles of your tires.

Also check the torque of your lugs. I don't know what gorilla tightened them during PDI, but they were a bear to loosen. The manual says 65-80 lb/ft, so I went 74 (simply because that's what my M3's wheels take, and it's 100 N/m, which is a nice round number).
