Some people have done that (subs) in previous Evos. Bad part is that an 8" sub is the absolute max for that space. Have you considered getting some under the seat subs? Both won't make that much bass... don't know if that's what you're looking for. Here: http://forums.evolutionm.net/showthread.php?t=327333&highlight=arm+rest

Thats why you double stack 2 8's LOL and then wire them in parallel. The most power you can get in the space given

Duhh... I know. 2 8" subs still won't be that much base. Unless you are going for something different, under the seat subs may be another alternative (if they fit under our low Recaros). The under-seat sub come w/a built-in amp, so it's pretty much plug-&-play & may be a bit cheaper, unless ddawg is good w/fabricating a simple MDF box & upholstering it, or just has money to burn

haha, thats a big NO and NO. thanks for the link to that EvoM post, that is pretty cool what he did.
But as some others pointed out I think I'm either gonna have to choose to go with luxury mods (leather seats, upgraded audio, dynamat, lowering springs + nice rims). Or I'm gonna go for performance (coilovers, exhaust, tune, manual or electric boost controller). Since it is an Evo I'm pretty heavilly leaning towards sticking to performance and worrying about "comfort" mods later.
Although, If I were to do that I wouldn't do it like the guy on evoM. I would do it more like the GTR and have the arm-rest permanetly down and then I'd also have the speakers show some. I'm not worried about makiing it stealth, I think it would look better to have leather seats with leather enclosures and then some mean looking covers over the subs.
Thanks for the help.

I would have to disagree with you on 8" subs not sounding that big. I have personally installed two 8w7 in my car and everyone thought that I had 2 12". That was in a trunk of a Toyota corolla. So if you think 8" are not enough go lessen to the JL audio 8w7 and I will bet you will change your mind.
