I'm debating between the blizzak lm-25 performance winter tires or the potenza re960 ultra high performance all seasons. What I can't find anywhere is an estimate on how fast the tread on the Blizzaks wears.
Anyone have any experience with this tire who can tell me how many miles it can go roughly before the tread wears to much.
thanks

I have a set of the LM25 for my evo. I only use them for 1 winter season and it was the best winter tires i have ever experiance. The snow and ice grip is amazing.
These blizzak are made for winter only and it will last u @ least 5 or more winter seasons. If u are looking for something to run all season long then get ur self all season tires.
If u are willing to swap tires every season... then the best would be the blizzaks.

cool thanks. thats all i needed to hear. i am planning on running them only for winter. I was just wondering if the winter tires really had that bad of a tread life because every place says that winter tires don't last long. But as long as I don't need a new set every or every-other winter then I was planning on the LM-25. Plus Evo with good winter tires on it should be fun in the snow.

I had so much fun in the snow. Compare to my old evo the X handle itself very well. Here is a picture of me in a snow storm flying on a empty road, which has alot of up and down mountain terrain and alot of turns and the evo held its own. Especially with the LM25 gripping throu 10inches of snow and the snow was still coming down.

Here is another snow picture around 6in the start of the snow storm coming home from work.
