Been a long time reader of the forums finally decided to make an account. Learning all i can about the ins and out of Evo's just encase i do buy one in the future. i like a lot of the information i find on the site. Im an administrator on Lancertuners and a Moderator on Projectlancer and pretty much have been into cars for as long as I remember but it really took off when i lived in Japan for 5 years.

Iv had my Lancer ES for a little under 4 years now. Need something affordable with good gas mileage since i take long trips, while i pay off my student loans. Original i didnt plan on Modding the car but that changed, i wanted to mod the car to be subtle and not pretend for it to be something that its not im not really about being flashy sometimes less is more. It was easier to work on the ES since it didnt not come with any of the ground effects the GTS comes with.

I work for Mercedes Benz so eventually i will end up grabbing an C63 AMG or search for an Evo VIII if i decide to stay with nippon imports but i will keep the Lancer after all the work iv put into her.

Thanks for the kind words everyone im still working on her. I think when spring comes around im going to do more performance mods to try to draw a little more HP out. Not trying for big numbers just a bit to make her sportier.

Id like to thank everyone for the warm welcome and thanks for the compliments. I believe in keeping clean just because your rides not fast doesnt mean it cant look good.

I will have pics up soon of my CF interior wrap the OEM plastic is of horrible quality. Also, hopefully i will have my Rexspeed duckbill rear lip soon.

Thanks a lot man. I get the "is your car an Evo?" thing all the time. Its kind of depressing when i say no. But the N/A Lancer and the Evo chassis are so similar sometimes it hard to tell them apart lol.

The nose piece is an overlay but it takes work to get it to look right. You have to cut the holes out of your front bumper so it will fit. Then you have to cut the foam behind it out and spray paint the chassis behind it black. I heated it up and molded it to the front. There are small gaps but they are not noticeable. Then i used epoxy and clamps and let it sit over night. Once it was done i bought matte black car paint spray painted it black. Lots of work but worth it. Honestly the front nose piece is what i love about the Evo X's the most. Honestly, most Lancer guys dont do it correctly and it looks horrible if you are going to do something put the work into it.

I will be buying the Duckbill rear lip im not big into large spoilers that dont serve a function.

I want a new hood and honestly the OEM Evo hood is the best one out there i dont like majority of the aftermarket ones out. But im afraid that if i get it it really will look like im trying to copy an Evo. So im sitting on it for the time being and working on other projects like the CF wrap.

Hey guys i have a little update decided i wanted to do some work once New years was over so i started working with some CF wrap and finished up mostly. I wanted something very clean yet distinctive without going overboard. As im sure you can tell by now im very particular about what i do on the Lancer.

I also have some Bride Material on the way from Redline hopefully will be here soon.

I also have some Matte Black Black Vinyl on the way for the roof, front lip and my ARS Evo X nose. Im honestly tired of touching up the paint on these parts every 2 months its just aggravating. So iv decided to wrap them for more durability.

i have a small update

Well my stuff Redline Automotive finally came in worth the wait it came from Europe so shipping took like 2 weeks

Sup guys a small update today i finally had a chance to install the Bride and CF armrest and Ebrake boot. Installation was pretty easy and now that i know what the material looks like installed i can order the rest for my doors. After all the work i have been doing lately the interior is a little dirty sorry guess its time for a super interior detailing.

Also got rid of that bulky sub box taking up all my trunk space and replaced it with the OEM RF sub box got a good deal on it, Its so much cleaner looking. I dont have the replacement JL audio sub yet some im just using the RF sub that came with the box. The problem with the RF sub is its 0.01 Ohms. Mario at Invius Motorsports had to do some wiring to make it 2 ohm to work with my amp. The other problem is the RF sub is not meant to be pushing the power that an aftermarket amp uses so over time it will slowly die, not a big deal for me since i will have a new one in a month or so. But the difference in sound is very apparant. After i get my mono amp i am going to fabricate a amp rack for a more custom look.

I like the e-brake cover.....rims look great on the car !! I traded my lancer a year ago and picked up ab EVO. I was on PL for a bit when I had it. Glad to see you here . Your car shows your dedication.....Looks clean. Best lancer ive seen.

I like a clean ride too that's what my build is all about. Too many Lancer guys try to hard on their rides and they end up looking horrid and they just slap on parts to say they have them and rice them the fuck out. You can have a nice clean ride without going overboard. I stick with my own style and i am pretty methodical about parts it takes me a while to decide to do something and i dont cut corners i pay top dollar for my parts.

Funny a guy last week gave me a hard time at the gas station because he thought my car was an Evo. I told him all the chassis are the same so how could he blame me for my ride looking like it Evo, his reply was that its slow (as i looked at the other pump and saw his beaten dodge Neon) i said yes its an N/A daily driver what do you expect but hey each to their own and i left.

For got to post this as well.

So my CF ebrake cover had chrome on it and was not flowing with the rest of the interior since i put the BRIDE boot on. So 4 coats of matte black paint 24 hours dry time and 10 min of baking and this is the result.

Only a few people knew about this. But about 2 weeks ago a work truck decided they didnt need to tie down any of their equipment while traveling on the highway at about 70 miles hour so as their **** starting spilling out of the freeway and a giant wheelbarrow smashed into the front of the car destroying the Evo nose, gouging the hood and denting the living the hell out of the drivers quarter panel and also leaving reisue of whatever they had in the barrel on the car. The Irony is this happen on my way to pick up my new OEM Evo X hood. My jobs bodyshop did one hell of a job repairing everything and color matching the hood.They even managed to get my insurance to pay for paiting the new hood instead of repairing the stock one. Damn this hood is light i noticed the difference weight the second i drove the car.

HAHA the car is coming out better than i could have hoped. I should have my projectors today at some point. I still need to get my Header from OBX but they are on back order for 8 weeks


New headlights came in they are the Halogen headlights from Depo. Im gonna see how they look with halogen and maybe modify them for HID

So today was the next phase in Suzuka's make over. I introduce you to my Firemist Orange Lancer all paint was bought from TCP global and is not rattle can. This is real paint with primer, reducer, hardner and clear coat. We used the compressor at the house and Hooked up the paint guns for the spray. The whole process took about 7 hours from prepping to drying. There are 2 pieces we have to go over again and the emblems need to be done. The reason being is that we ran out clear coat which is needed for the finish. Phase II will be next weekend so stayed tuned. Plus i got hood dampers on so long ugly looking hood prop i hated that thing

car looks good, scratch that, great and awesome, however, imho, i think you went a bit far with the paint. im sure it looks better irl, but the front emblem and the engine bay kinda killed it for "ME" at least

O man. ThE car looks great but take it easy on the paint mods! You don't want that nice whip to start looking like a rice rocket.

thanks guys well im done with the paint i just need to match my calipers and im done. Everything was red under the hood i wanted something else especially for the car shows the car will be going into this summer. Cant enter anything performance wise for obvious reasons but just having a little more fun before the car goes away
