what you recommend for 720P,1080P viewing for movies and gaming (more first person shooting and driving games)?

Im running a Sanyo PLV-Z4 720P projector. this one has been on the top of the charts before the 1080p projectors got resonable with pricing.

Previously I've owned a DLP projector Benq (forget the model) and it provided a washed out blurry image. the Sanyo PLV-Z4 provided sharp vivid images on my 120" screen.

LCD projectors used to have a "screen door effect" this was eliminated or reduced substaintially when my PLV-Z4 was released. the downside of DLP projectors is the blurry image,rainbow effect & people may have epeleptic fits/headaches.

I havent followed the market lately but wouldnt hesistate to purchase a sanyo 1080p projector with similar lumens as my current.

Please I always recommend to everyone who asks... GET THE BEST SCREEN YOU CAN BUY. the screen will outlast many projectors and its worth it to spend double to get the HQ HD screen.

new tech around the corner will be Laser/led bulb projectors but expect them to be $$$$$.

OK so I went with a native 1080P projector (epsontw2000) and great components all on a budget and the end result is IMO a kick @ass home theatre system, no more going to the movies.. :)

I just need to find heaps of hi-def movies to download now. ( anyone?)

Also built a HTPC with bluray and hd-dvd drive with hi def audio and HDMI out.

nice 5 meter viewing screen :) need to find a screen as you reccommended, but for now, the white wall is doing pretty well - lucky for me there are no imperfections on there and the paint is non-flective. ( your HT system looks awesome - lucky enough to get a dedicated room I see! )
