The new Mitsubishi Evo is on the way, and everyone who has seen the Concept-X showcar (http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/FVDP/Preview/styleId=100564097) knows it. The ongoing Evo buzz has made us pretty eager to get into the new 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS.

With our first drive of the Lancer GTS (http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Drives/FirstDrives/articleId=44788), we already found out that this is a radically different Lancer than ever before. For one thing, it's got a CVT (continuously variable transmission), technology that we're seeing on a growing number of cars in this segment.

It shows us that cars in this class are trying to deliver performance, not just gas-sipping value.

I decided out that Im going to be staying with my GTS for a while. maybe even the hole 5 years I got it for. maybe by then a new evo will be out :eek:
