Just got my new factory reflashes and i was thinking it would be a good idea to put on a new intake and fullexhaust system before you get a real tune form ECUtek or another real tuner company. Does anyone not agree with me.

yep. Stay with the factory reflashes.
do your mods.. then do your EcuTek flash.

If I have already installed and air intake would I not be able to get the reflash?

if you mean that youve already gotten all your mods.. it would not hurt to get your factory reflashes.. however it would make more sense to pay for an ECUTek tune as this sorts out any of the initial problems that factory reflashes would.. and the EcuTek tune would be tuned to your mods in place.. note.. your mods and especially the EcuTek may break your warrenty agreement.

What I mean was I already installed the intake but I have never received and reflashes from the dealer. Will they do it now or is it too late since I have already modded it and they will not touch a modded car?

dealer flashes still can be done in your state.. the only issue is that they will see your intake and comment about your future warrenty coverage.. if its easy to remove.. then remove it before you go in for a flash..

dealer flashes are crap. Just go and invest around $700 for a ECUTek tune. My car finally feels like an Evo after a ECUTek tune. If you dont have an exhaust yet, you should get one also.

agreed that you will get best bang for buck with EcuTek\Aftermarket reflash. But if you are a little way away from getting one.. the free factory flash is the next best thing.

i was told that they are having problems with the ECUTEK if you have an intake. something about not having safe maps yet

never heard that, but im running a Drop-in filter so i guess it doesnt apply to me. My car is running way better and stronger than ever.

Perrin may have stated that. check out their threads... ie their stage 3 EcuTek tune is only recommended with certain mods etc.

thanks for the info guys, i also think mods should be put on first then get the ECUtek or any pro flash, by the way, my car was totally stock when i got the factory flashes, They made a little difference in performance but hardly enough to feel

I just got an evo X about 5 days ago and live in Pittsburgh PA if any of you know any places near here i could go to get reflash besides dealership please share :D, but also please share some companies that do reflashes if you could!!! thanks

If you cab make the trip to AC and get the speed circuit flash, I highly reccomend it.
