Im not sure in what coilovers to buy. I want to lower my car and get a smooth ride also when i do that too... I had an Srt and when i lowered it on Megan racing coilovers the ride was terrible... Im looking at JIC, BC, Kw, or Ksport..... i would like to know what coilovers everyone has and the kind of ride they have from the drop...also if your car is a daily driver as well

Get the HKS!!!

KW and the JIC is the best from that what you wrote there.
As i heard the JIC have big issues with customer support.
So i would stick with the KW's.

BUT if you are DD the car only. then the good springs will do a same job./almost/
LIke the Eibach-Tanabe-Swift-Works.
So no need to spemd that much if you are a DD. Spend a money somewhere elso on the engine :)

But won't they destroy your oem shocks?

springs = dampers won't be destroyed but they have a higher chance of premature failure and your ride quality and handling will be garbage compared to OEM. but people with springs claim they help handling because it makes them *feel* more planted. it does not improve handling. it is only for looks.

i had the teins on the si for 3 years and the ride was about the same as a stock si. You will be fine.

well since it should have better shocks on the evo i would venture to say that they would hold up much better.

Excalibur does have a good point. The suspension is bolted on with geometry, weight, etc etc all in might, so the active YAW control + SAWC can work properly. With a different suspension setting, wont this off? I have heard people say that you are better off with stock suspension.
Also, I have KW's on order, but I have heard those are better for daily drivers, like me. The pillowball mounts tend to make a sound when you go over bumps. Monoflex seems like a better choice, I still want to go for HKS.

HKS do not use Pillow mounts...so no noize. I went with KWs but cannot give you a review since then are still sitting in a box.

i guess it might mess with yaw and sawc but since im not going to be auto x'ing the car i would rather it look better. I will take the money i saved on springs over coilovers and put it into power mods. hell i dont even know if i am going to be lowering it.
