While Live2Ride, Mr. Win and I were in Vegas, we went to a place called "The Rum Jungle".

They had TVs set up there that would play the video of whatever song was currently playing. The DJ would mix multiple songs together, and depending on what song was being played at a given moment, that would dictate the video that was being played. When he would scratch, the video would scratch too.

I tried to find some examples on youtube, but none of them were nearly as good as what we saw. It was really addicting to watch.

Anyone know of any good example videos?

Eh, the technology is ok, but I really don't see it being that impressive. Tenori-On and the things people do with MPC's impress me much more.

Search for Tenori-On and you'll find plenty. For MPC, there's more stuff than even my Youtube addicted mind can fathom. This guy Boonie is good.

Doesn't compare to what we saw in vegas.

The video scratching is pretty neat. I can only imagine some of the stuff the people will come up with using that technology.

The MPC 1000 is pretty cool too. I messed with one a little bit before. It's probably a good thing that I don't have one, because I'd probably be coming up with all kinds of stuff in weird changing time signatures and stuff. Stuff I write on guitar does that too much as it is. Hmm, perhaps I will look into one anyway...
