Just picked up my new evo X. Ive had it for nearly a week just running it in. 320miles on the clock. Only just notice today after stopping the car with the engine off. I hear the ticking/ knocking noise form underneath the car. Is this normally?? Can anyone help or have a similar problem. Thanks

I think its normal its some bearings settling down (I think) after running. my dads truck, my moms GT and my Sentra and my fiances Neon all do this knock/tick noise after shut off.

thats from the exhaust.

thats because of the exhaust metal pipe is cooling down.

you will find it more obviouse after u boost the car hard.

The feedback I've gotten from an ASE tech is that noise is coming from the high impedance injectors. Basically electricy, that is if you have the key turned to accessory. If key is out then I'm going with the metals cooling off and contracting.
