I am curious if anyone has heat wrapped there Intercooler pipes and Intake?
If anyone has where can I get the stuff?

I've only used it on headers before, but it worked to keep the heat from the engine bay in my Ion redline. But DEI makes good heat wraps and you can get it from there website or pepboys, autozone and places like that. It is somewhat expensive but worth it.

Yeah I found some locally, I asked some Sti owners.

He said the turbo blanket is quite efficient, and so are the intercooler wraps.
he said after beat on his car for several hours, he can touch the turbo and its only warm to the touch

Good luck and don;t forget to tell us if it was a noticeable heat reduction, which I'm sure it will be. It would be nice to see what the temps drop is before and after.

yeah I wish I had a way to measure before and after temperatures

you can use a little point and shoot thermometer

i used it for the exhaust engineering project, each layer can reduce up to 30%. but dun use too much, otherwise there will be causing pressure problem.

Thank you, any reduction in temperature will help. 30% is quite a lot.

I only plan on one layer

Wrapping charge pipes is a waste of time. Downpipes are the only pipes worth wrapping, however with the flipped around motor on the 4b11, the short rear pipe would hardly see any benefit.
