Hi, so im planning on getting my evo x mr in a few weeks. WOOT! lol...soo excited haha... THe first thing I'll do with my evo is get a new exhaust and an aftermarket BOV (most likely HKS). So basically my quesiton is, what will the BOV sound like in the MR? I know that you only get the psssh sound when u let your foot off of the throttle and change gears. Since the MR changes gears automatically (assuming I'm leaving it in full auto) will the pssssh sound be less noticable or will there be any at all? Any MR owners here with an aftermarket bov?

My stock BOV sounds great with an Open Air Filter.

I wouldn't put an aftermarket BOV on my car. Ever.

it will sound liek all teh HKS BOV's do.

you only need one at certin boost levels when the boost starts to make to factory BPV leak. im sure that would happen arround 25-30 psi.

True, but listen to mine. Sounds good for stock IMO without all the aftermarket BOV hassle.

wow that sounds sick!! So did you keep the bov stock? Do i just have to add an aftermarket cone filter to get that sound? Cuz right now im gonna scared about getting an aftermarket bov (the ones that vent 100% to the atmosphere) after reading some articles describing how it will cause the engine to run rich.

Trust me, you don't want the trouble of an aftermarket BOV.

And yes, I got that sound with the Open Air intake. I never touched or modded the BOV, that's the OEM BOV.
