: Lightweight wheels?

Looking for a set of inexpensive lightweight wheels for track use. I was looking on Tirerack and it seems like every one I looked at has other required hardware (lug nuts, centering ring, adapters, etc.) Is this normal? For example, I was looking at:

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=runWheelSearch&initialPartNumber=TC88532JSML&wheelMake=SSR&wheelModel=Competition&wheelFinish=Silver+w%2FMachined+Lip&showRear=no&autoMake=Mitsubishi&autoModel=Lancer+Evolution&autoYear=2008&autoModClar=MR&filterSize=All&filterFinish=All&filterSpecial=false&filterBrand=All&filterNew=All&sort=Weight

and

SSR is light, but soft.

For $300 budget, there are not too many options though.

Keep your wheels and wait for our 2pc brake rotors.

4.0 lbs less per front rotor
3.2 lbs less per rear rotor

14.4lbs weight lost, and better brakes :)

Early August.

Just looking for some track wheels that I can transfer the original Evo tires to when I replace them with all-seasons, and I don't want to really blow a lot of money. I plan to use the originals for the track only. Back to my first question; do aftermarket wheels all require the extra stuff?

You'll have to go really light with those wheels if you want to save b/c the stock enkeis are like 22.5 lbs and the BBS are only like 19 lbs. or so.

My vote.

CE 28N , Advan, Gram lights are more expensive, but if youve got the mulla.. go for it.

i used the CE 28N's, the ADVAN RS , and now the Gram lights Optimise 57's.
IF you get any of those wheels you will never regret it.
Sure they are pricey, just as you car :)
Specially true in the Motor-sport you got what you paid for.
They are light and safer when accident happens.

Enkei NT0-3's are surprisingly light wheels. I tracked on those for a good 2 yrs. Just retired them recently, but if you dont mind spacers, look into those. They go for $1100~$1200 shipped depending on the vendor and your location.
