Yeah. Not alot of people can handle the greatness that is the evo. When I got mine all people could bring up was the episode of top gear where the lambo could not get away from the evo. Lol!

I have a silver Evo x. Live in the garden district I've only lived here a year it might be fun to rally around with someone who knows some cool places. I guess if anyone thinks that sounds good reply on here.

Hey that's cool. Where did you do auto x at? I've never raced but autocross is usually just a road course right? They allow beginners? When's the nextevent? That's a lot of questions hope you don't mind helping out someone who's new to both new Orleans and the Evo world. Thanks.

I'm based with SoWeLa Region SCCA and run mostly out of Lake Charles. There are four SCCA regions in Louisiana and Delta Region is based out of New Orleans.

Yeah, autocross (Solo is the official term) is just a course made out of cones in a parking lot or airport etc.. Beginners are always welcome.

Check out AUTOXFORUM.COM, they have the links for all the La. SCCA regions along with the SCCA site itself plus other regions and the TLAC website (It's a challange series amoung the four La. regions.) There is also a calendar of events.

I'm in Baton Rouge... there are a couple X's around here and a ton of 8/9's.

I'm in Houma. OB Evo. There's also a black one here that I see on Friday nights but never talked to him.

I'm still here guys, all sad and lonely in Metairie lol. I know the guy that has the silver X, and other than that, I really don't know anybody. I have been going out lately on weekends and see a White X in the french quarter. I've seen another one here and it's always in the garage of the street I pass by to go to school and work. I guess they got the car as a showpiece for the garage lol.

i don't live in LA anymore, but i lived in mandeville for 2 years, natchitoches for 2 years, then BR for 4 in undergrad. i wasn't really up on the Evo when i lived there, but i can't recall ever seeing any - i definitely would have noticed. i try to get down there down there at least once a year to catch up with a bunch of NOLA friends. hopefully next time my visit falls during a meet-up!
