Congrats! That's right in line with the gains from the SpeedCircuit Tune.
Good to know that it responds well to a tune for 91 octane, since that is all we have here :(
dcasandman 08-11-2008, 06:30 PM Every one gives these nice dyno results. I always want to know the subjective part of it to. How does it fell after a 80hp gain?
lwevert 08-11-2008, 06:39 PM After an 80 hp jump I bet it feels like a whole new car. I wish I wasn't tdy last month when AMS came to san antonio to tune peoples cars.
Thats awesome.. 80hp from a tune. Put you evo on diet and see the power to weight ratio :)
nebolic 08-11-2008, 10:13 PM feels like a freight train and now it feels like the evo 8-9 where the boost comes on and it hits hard.
when i post my dyno graph, you'll see that the motor is still making power at redline.
very happy with the results. to be honest, this is how the evo should feel like released from the factory.
if anyone is in the sac area, they are more than welcome to test drive it.

DirectorSe7en 08-11-2008, 10:18 PM Nice numbers nebo.

:wtfsign:.......So trusting. I reserve that feature for people I know at least semi-well, haha.
Did Sammy tell you about driving my ride?
nebolic 08-11-2008, 10:35 PM no he didnt tell me about the drive. did he break it loose and do some sexy slides?
i thought i was going to see you on saturday?

He ripped my car a new one on the freeway. I didn't know the MPH went that high.
I was supposed to go to WORKS but another thing went wrong with my exhaust so I had to ruin ANOTHER Saturday going to EIP to fix issues that should not exist.
Seeing your numbers makes me want to pay WORKS a visit soon though. PM me if you want me to host your Dyno charts so you can put them in your 1st post. :p
dcasandman 08-11-2008, 10:46 PM Im glad you like it. Im going to have to get a tune on 91oct also :( Shitty Oklahoma gas. This gives me a good baseline. I was really hoping to be above 315 with a tune. I guess more than likely Ill have to settle for just in the 300s.
nebolic 08-11-2008, 10:59 PM okie keep in mind that my dyno is on a dyna pack, if you run mustang dyno it might be a hair lower.
and also, the HKS exhaust i have, it is dead quiet, i imagine if i go with bigger piping it might get better response. and i have minimal mods.
d7 can you PM your email address on norcalevo, i'll email you my dyno graph and you can post it up.

dcasandman 08-11-2008, 11:11 PM I will be going alittle more modded. AEM intake, Full turboback from perrin, FMIC from Perrin, and Nisei IC pipes, but still not that much more. Imay go with Perrin heat sheild if they show some good results.

i think you can crack 300whp. I should be able to crack 300whp after i get my cosworth cams.

nebolic 08-12-2008, 03:41 AM updated with dyno charts on page 1.

starmax 08-12-2008, 02:21 PM I wonder why all the Works flashes have this dip? Is is just because of the dynapack or do you think it's something with their tune?
nebolic 08-12-2008, 03:30 PM that dip is consistent with other tunes, it's the ecu pulling back boost and spooling back up. the boost is peaked higher so that there is a more aggressive pull. If you compare the dyno charts with other tunes, some tunes have the similar dip around 4000 rpm.
nebo
nebolic 08-12-2008, 08:22 PM check out the other tunes with ecutek. has the same dip :)
nebo
PDXEvo 08-13-2008, 04:36 AM I tune on the exact same dyno and I dont have this very pronounced dip with the Ecutek.
http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5601
nebolic 08-13-2008, 03:08 PM no but it looks like your dip is happening at around 4200rpm? Scale it so you can see the plots.
I'm contributing this to different boost methods on the onset I suppose, what boost levels are you running? I'm looking at your boost graph and you're losing boost before it's picking back up between 3k to 4k rpm. Is the ECU adjusting your boost or did you set it to peak, drop and pick back up?

That sounds fantastic- that's what concerned me a bit about the stock Evo X. I admit I'm a boy-racer at heart and I wanted that 'surge' or 'urgency' which it would otherwise lack. Only thing I'm not sure about is how it will all work if I end up going down the SST route as opposed to the basic 5 speeder which we're getting down under.
