I pretty much phone every dealership that is within 1 hour drive of me. They will sell the car at MSRP (ya!!?), they don't know squat about this car...lol and I think they can only order as much as people put down deposits.

Most dealership will get 5-7, the bigger dealerships gets around 10 and the smaller dealership in more remote areas get around 2-3.

1000 dollar refundable deposit...

Most deposits are for the SST transmission so if you are shooting for a manual you will probably get it first.

I just thought I would share what I found out today!

cheers!

You can put down a smaller deposit if you want, like $500. They just want a commitment from you.

So Jackygor, have you moved your deposit to a dealer that has less than 20 people in line waiting, or are you going to switch to 5MT to ensure you get a car sooner?

And the number of cars per dealer you are quoting, that's for the entire model year, isn't it?

I am going to put down a deposit at another dealer, since that dealership ordered 2 and I will be the second on the list =)

I will not move my deposit, since its refundable, I am not in a rush.

I am really not sure if it is for the entire model year, I hope not!

I will have to test drive both MT and SST first, seeing how everyone is raving about how great SST is, I should at least give it a try.
