I went going down hill today then I switched to neutral, hoping the harness the power of gravity. Then I put it back into D, the battery light came up and my steering wheel locked up, luckily my brakes were still functional. I was also lucky that no one was in front of me and I didn't need to turn. I hit my hazard light then I turned off my car, then when I turned it on, my steer wheels where unlocked. Did my car stalled? I was pretty sure my engine running. I think this is a SST fuck up. Anyone had this problem? I really don't want to try it again to see if this is a one time occurrence...
You shouldnt be putting it into neutral and then drive at speed. I dont think they designed the tranny to be able to do that.

There is no connection between gear selector position and steering wheel lock. I've shifted into N at speed and back to D several times with no issues. Even if the engine dies, the steering wheel will still turn and if the vehicle is moving, there won't be much increase in effort needed.
You should get that thing to your dealership and open a service ticket.
Or call a priest.

At first glance it really sounds like your car stalled. It's quite possible that idling it and then putting it in gear at speed caused the tranny to select the appropriate gear too fast before the revs could come up.

have you had your Ecu Flashed yet? could be idling problems causing you to stall. It definatley shouldnt have happened and it sounds to me like your engined turned off.

Sounds like you stalled. Be careful doing that I don't think the tranny ECU is programmed for each and every scenario.

Do you have an aftermarket BOV?
