Anyone know the mods to the Evo?? Thats the advantage of AWD+ a good driver- nice and fast launch- but look at the trap speeds- another few feet and vette would of came out ahead, he sure caught up pretty quick. *Note to self, only race z06 from dead stop to have a chance. I wonder what the vette would of ran with a good driver. But good run by the evo nonetheless. a member of the boards?

Yeah 109 vs 117..another couple of yards would show a win for the Z06 for sure. Bad start, bad driver. Somebody should post this on the Z06 boards lol.

Someone should post this on the Corvette forums as said above---so they can lynch the driver.

That was an absolutely pathetic run by the Z06, guys have gone as fast as high 10s in them stock.

My '03 Z06 even pulled 119 traps. Guy should just give up driving.

looked to be a regular corvette with z06 wheels. i can't confirm the hood vent etc etc. also the time is more inline with a regular vette

i doubt a regular c6 could run down a 120 trap like that .. all the z06's i've seen at lvd run high 11's at 120 so it seems about right.

The regular C6s run somewhat in comparison to the C5 Z06s. Mine with long-tubes, intake and a reflash ran 119s on a bad pass on a 98 degree day.

Great runs! What was your RT against the vette?- Reaction time? I don't know about Boybeater's time (looked pretty good) but I measured the Vette's RT and 0-60'- I had to use a calander though. Good beat- now go beat on some subies and lawn mowing civics

Sorry but you beat the driver. Stock C6 Z06s trap 125+ mph and run low 11s. Put a decent driver in the Corvette and you will be seeing taillights. Nice run though...seems like you got your launch technique down. :thumbup:

Actually I was there, it was most definetly not a Z06, and, I'm very aware of the stable of cars you have over there in stamford.

But dont forget, here in lower westchester/north bronx we have a 900 whp ams tuned evo 8 and a 1100 hp (pump gas) fox body stang that will put a lot of frowns on faces up there in stamford. :)

Well I've seen Z06's run mid 12's, nothing unbelievable, not everyone knows how to launch and drive the Z06 perfectly. And highway "racing" is not really racing, it's just an illegal way to see your top end. I know plenty of single turbo supras with 900 to 1200 HP that would absolutely rape most Z06's and on the highway but that doesn't prove anything. I've seen 900 HP Supras run shitty quarter mile times because of traction issues OR because of turbo lag.....so quarter mile times has many factors.

oh yea well my 92 civic vx had 87 whp and it ran a 20 minute 1/4 mile.. but the teal hatch did get all the ladies..

There used to be a running joke on alot forums about 6-7 years back about how many 1000 hp supras would run mid 12's with 9 second trap speeds. And were basically dyno queens. Supra's usually need a full drag chassis to get low et's once 4 digit horsepower is involved. And yes they were absolute killers on top end. Hence all the supra vs. hayabusa, gixxer 1000, R1 etc videos that littered streetfire back then.

My bad I thought you hung out at ICS in stamford. I thought that was where you tuned your car.

I did get my X tuned in Stamford at ICS .. but that was the only time I'd really "hung" out there ..
