I need to vent for a minute.

NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE talks shit about the Miata.
Period.

I got so heated earlier when I was out with the guys it was unreal.

Some idiot in a Firechicken makes a crack at the Miata as I'm leaving the parking lot of Sonic. All his fat-ass-domestic-loving-pos-friends start laughing as well. Immediatley I put the car in reverse and make my way over there.

At first, they are stunned that I even made the approach. I start asking "What the fuck did you just say?" The Mexican (owner of the firechick and looked stoned as hell) says something about the Miata and I start talking shit on his Firechicken. As I begin to leave they start HARHARING once more. This time, I'm more than pissed, I'm livid.

I jump out of the Miata get in his face pointing my finger just yelling at the top of my lungs while all his homeboys are standing back watching.

He says "Look at my shirt bitch" apparently the idiot is some fighter. I laugh and go "OOOOOOOO, wtf you going to do?" Then he says "If you want to fight I can call some girls to fight" I respond with "You were the fucker talking your shit be a man and back your words." Basically it ended up with Kip having to grab my arm and pull me away.

I'm so sick of the "car scene" around here its unreal. Everyone's dick is larger than everyone elses. Pisses me off so much.

I thought I was going to jail tonight..

Does anyone just ever get so angry they literally black-out? I swear to you I was about to tear his ass up. Regardless if he was not of my "ranks." There is one subject that I'm *really* touchy about and that's my car. I didn't pay $20,000 for idiots like themselves to make inside jokes and laugh at it. It just baffles me so much how ignorant some people can be.

I kinda know what you mean about getting so angry that you "black out". I never quite got that far, but If I get truly pissed (which may happen once every several years or so), I'll ignore the little voice in my head that tells me to stay cool, and nature just takes over. I would not want to be on the receiving end of that (not that it would be possible).

The key here, Kristin, is that sometimes you just need to man up and walk away. Look at them, shake your head in shame, and just go about your business. It's hard to do, but ultimately that's what you have to do anymore.

It's not really so much that they were making fun of the car it's more the fact that they said anything at all. Who does that? These guys are in their mid 20s and acting like children. I mean yea, the car thing bothered me but I don't know if that is what is really triggering it all. This has happened more than once. Some idiot guys talk shit about the car, Kristin gets mad, approaches idiots and goes off..

Honestly, I think it goes back to when I was in Jr. High. I wasn't the coolest kid on the block and I got kicked around a lot. I never stood up for myself.

AND, how cool was he to degrade a chicks car? I mean come on..
Most guys know a chick would not stand up for herself when it comes to those kinda things mainly because it's not a fair fight but crap. I do.

Hell, if a girl puts a decent effort into tuning a car (rather than ricing it out), I'll give her props.

It's a little different on my end. If I would have backed off and not done anything they would have continued to do so and not shut up and the next time I would be there they'd do it some more knowing I wouldn't stand up for myself.

The only thing it might have solved was them realizing I wasn't going to back down and allow it to happen. Even when we first arrived they were making cracks "OH, THOSE ARE KILLEEN PEOPLE." It was already a rocky start from the get-go. Then one of the idiots of the clan made a big fuss about my friends EVO then I made him look like an idiot when he was trying to act cool sprouting off information.

From the time we arrived to the time we left I had them on their toes. I tend to be a total bitch when I'm around domestic guys mainly because they think they can own all. Nonsense. The car scene around here is just so amazingly retarded its unreal. It's guys who watch FNF before they leave and when they get home they watch it some more..

I, too, admire your passion for cars and the way you stood up for yourself, and the thing you love.

It is a pretty idiotic thing to talk sh*t about other people's car and it really shows how misinform that person really is.

I made a stupid remark on a girl's car once, she owns a blue WRX. She had after market exhaust and a big wing. I said "wow, that is pretty rice". To be honest I never intended for her to hear me, but she heard it, and ever since she hated me, with a passion.

Back then, I knew very little about cars and I pretty much thought anything with a big STi wing and HUGE aftermarket exhaust was ricey.

Anyways, the lesson of the story? Don't talk sh*t about a car lover's car, especially if that person is a girl.

I've done it. But you have to understand that everyone has a certain style. Some people buy expensive cars (such as a STi and EVO) and really cramp the cars original beauty with lame parts because they simply can't afford the "real" stuff.

I used to run around in Austin with a cardboard sign saying "RICE" and one saying "NICE." The cars that got the rice were truly beaters. Duct taped bumpers, 4 different colors, etc but it didn't make it right to do it..

I've seriously backed off from the talking about people's cars and what has been done. If I'm looking in someone's bay and I see Ebay parts, big deal. If it's what makes them happy, so be it..


I could go on and on with this subject because there are so many sides to it. I'm sure you guys get the picture though..
