well i got the forge wastgate actuator on this morning, and i didnt turn my mbc down, i have a perrin and i was at 2 threads left showing, and i gave the car some go time and once it hit 25 psi (very very quickly i might add) it went into safety mode or limp mode or whatever. did it three times, so i came home and turned the mbc back to the starting 5 threads and am letting the car cool off and clear itself. the check engine light came on by the way and stayed on, so im letting it sit. thoughts, ?'s ideas, advice all welcome.

Just take the negative cable off the battery , wait 5mins and re-install !! You'll be ok !

i put mine in and it ran up to 25 and ive never gone into "limp mode" or got a check engine. I think you were the one that was having problems with how you had your Solenoid hooked up weren't you ? do you think that could be it. Becuase im running the same setup with the perrin MBC and WGA i I have my MBC turn almost all the way off and its still running 25 pounds. Im literally like 1 thread out and its running 25.

i spike 26 psi but hold 24 to redline. if i hold more then 25 i go into limp mode, but as long as im not holding im good.

If I do partial throttle boost I will get limp mode.
I need to go back to my tuner and get him to turn off "boost correction" on Ecutek. But 1.5hr drive is too much work for one thing.

In case you guys didn't know, another TSB from Mitsubishi came out a long time ago for the X. It's a reflash that is supposed to get rid of the slight hesitation of the engine above 5000 RPM. It used to feel like you were hitting an imaginary wall above 5000 RPM because the AFR was so rich. Mitsubishi supposedly corrected that. If you don't have the idle reflash yet, this newest one will fix both.

this is quite ridiculous but it works

Start the car and shut it down after about 3-5 secs
do it 5 times .. Check engine light clears itself when it doesn't detect anymore fault ..

Err .. for JDM cars :tumbleweed:

Here's a quicky guide to find out if you're overboosting .. MR's have a higher number  .. guys who've played with ECUflash on the older evo will find this familiar

RPM Absolute
3000 260 (~1.6-1.7bar)
3500 260
4000 260
4500 260
5000 255 (~1.4-1.5bar)
5500 250
6000 245 (~1.3-1.4bar)
6500 240 (~1.3bar)
7000 240

Er .. STOCK airflow / airbox :D .. the numbers change when you change these .. Variations I found +/- 0.2bar
