: Stay Away from Blouch Turbo

Just a word of warning for folks. They are very shady people and I would not trust them. Spoke to them a couple of weeks ago about upgrading my X turbo. Said they wanted to try to get the 4.0 cartridge in there so off the turbo came and off to them. I called them the day I sent it out to let them know it was on it's way and what day it would arrive. I also had Fed Ex e-mail them a tracking number to make sure they knew where it was from and when it would get there. So no word from them at all Monday and didn't even get an answer until Wednesday when I called over there (phone kept ringing). They e-mailed me to inform me that after measuring they could not do the 4.0. I found it odd they hadn't figured that out previously considering they have stock EVO X turbo sitting there. Oh well, what can you do. Can't bend physics so I said go ahead and do 2.0 upgrade since it is already there. Keep in mind they told me 2-3 days on the 4.0 so I figure the 2.0 is probably faster since they have already done that before. Yeah right. Almost a week later they said yeah it's done. I e-mailed them rather irritated that I thought they went under since no one was answering and I hadn't heard back from them. It was meant to be in a joking manner mind you but I guess they took it seriously. They said, we are not sending back your turbo. We are sending you a new stock turbo. Yeah. After waiting over a week, I get back exactly what I sent them in the first place. I called up FP and they said the reds will be ready to go Friday and there are a couple left so I tell Blouch just to send the turbo there. They won't ship there. Yeah. After all that they won't even save me a couple of days of shipping time to send the turbo there which is where it's going anyway. Very frustrating experience and I wouldn't trust sending them anything. FP may be slow but at least when they say they are going to upgrade my turbo I get it back upgraded. Stay far away from Blouch!

It is unfortunate that all that happened to you, but this is the first time I've ever heard of anything like that from Blouch. Friend of mine has one of their big dominator turbo's on his GSX and had a great experience with them.

Just wanted to relay my experiences with people. By the way, an update. They gave me a tracking number for my turbo but sadly it doesn't work and wouldn't you know it? They aren't answering the phone. Finally got through to them as I am typing this and they say it doesn't work until they pick it up. Oddly they pick up at 5 and they close at 5 so if it is wrong or they aren't shipping it to me won't know till tomorrow. Yet another day wasted. How frustrating. I'm not knocking their products at all Spicy but you know, if this is how they treat customers I don't really care anymore if they have good products or not.

I absolutely agree. That's crazy that they've been giving you the run around like this.

FP red is a 60-1 compressor wheel and a clipped TD06H SL exhaust wheel stuffed in the stock housing. Should lay down some good numbers. Pricing will be set once they are ready to ship this week. They told me around $1100 with a core although could be less and should be less considering these are all off the shelf parts.

Sounds like thaey are busy, they guy figured that the wheel would fit, and he didnt want to be reliable for shipping somewhere other then you.

BLOUCH FTW!!!!!!!

Busy or not, they quoted me 2-3 days to do the work. If they are going to take forever tell me beforehand. At least call or e-mail me to let me know if it takes longer than expected. Worst communication ever. Didn't hear from them and they didn't answer the phone the few times I called. IN the end made me wait forever and didn't get anything in return other than a shipping bill to get the turbo to them. What a waste.

that does suck, but being in customer service and sales myself, i understand how sometimes a single customer call fall through the crack, this is not a full display of Blouch to the open public, this does suck that you waited for nothing, but you had also asked for something they had never done before, and going out on a limb you should expect it to take a little extra time. I know i would of. personally i would of stuck with the blouch 3076 wheels over the FP red simply for Spool, the red will be a laggy sonofabitch on out 2.0 imo.

i do feel your frustration and do understand that this is a "vent" post, sorry for your wasted time.

I personally have dealt with Mike and crew a few times and havent had a single bad experience with him or his staff. They are courteous, helpful and do the best of their ability to get anything handled that may come up.

I am not getting involved here as it doesnt concern me at all but this was Mike's reply over on EvoM as this thread was started there as well. I dont think Blouch is on here but I feel its fair for the public to see both sides and for those that arent on EvoM they would not see it.

Just to let you know Dan we are a Vendor on EvoM

These are the facts:

1. Dan asked for custom EVO X turbo upgrade that was never done before. Quote was given for a 2-3 day turn around.

2. Turbo core was received for upgrade on Monday, October 6th at 2:33 PM.

3. Blouch Turbo performed custom machine work (wrote new CNC program) on the evening of Tuesday, October 7th on a test housing to see if upgrade was possible. Upgrade was not possible and an e-mail was sent to Dan on Oct 8th.

4. Blouch Turbo provided options and Dan decided on the Dom 2.0 upgrade late in the business day on Wednesday, October 8th. ( Turn around again was 2-3 days). Because of the lost day and the original intended upgrade was not possible, a discount was extended to Dan for the Dominator 2.0 upgrade.

5. On Tuesday, October 14th, Blouch Turbo received an e-mail from Dan stating that we don't answer our phones and our turnaround is very poor. The fact is Blouch Turbo did everything possible to expedite this upgrade.

Because of Dan's comments and attitude even towards the receptionist, Blouch Turbo has decided not to do business with Dan and has shipped him a brand new genuine Mitsubishi EVO X turbo at no cost to him.

Some more comments I made in regards to what others have posted including Blouch.

This is somewhat correct. Got the e-mail on the 8th and decided on a 2.0 within two hours of his original e-mail which wasn't sent out in the morning but rather at almost noon. I merely asked the receptionist whether these delays are normal. She only stated that it was very busy there.
As for the free turbo at no cost to me, I simply got the same thing I sent and yes there was a shipping cost involved as well as my time, which obviously time frame was the problem to begin with and that is certainly something that Blouch doesn't prioritize. So it was neither free, nor convenient, nor what I wanted initially but as I said, happy it happened this way since I got something better and from a reputable vendor that is going to do exactly what they say they will. I wouldn't give Blouch a dime and I hope this thread is read by many just as bit of information. The end decision on where people buy from I leave up to them. Hope this helps the people here on Evo M.

Actually they never once offered me any special discount on the 2.0 turbo so let's get the facts straight. They never let me know of any problems with the 2.0 conversion process. They didn't have any communication with me until yesterday either. If there was a problem I wouldn't know about it. In fact I didn't know anything at all until yesterday because I never got a response from them and could not get in contact with them. What would you think if that happened to you? I certainly didn't think anything positive. It was their lack of any desire to even let me know what is going on that was just as bad as the endless delays. Communication is kind of important when you have a customer's only turbo in your hands and have already had one delay due to things out of your control. I have NO problem with them not being able to do the 4.0 conversion as it was not possible. I don't ask for the impossible. As I mentioned in the original post, can't defy physics. I simply ask for you to keep in contact, to pick up the phone, to e-mail me and let me know the 2.0 conversion is taking longer than expected. In essence just to communicate with me so I'm not in the dark. I probably would have been much friendlier had they made ANY effort at all but rather they did the opposite and essentially had my turbo for 8 days for nothing. I just find it funny that people actually give them props for sending me back a turbo. Umm, what else were they to do? Have the police get my turbo back? They had to send something back and they had already altered mine so I REALLY don't think they did that out of customer service, out of kindness or out of any like for myself. They did it because they had to do it to avoid criminal prosecution. By the way, they have already threatenned me with legal action if I don't remove my signature. I'll alter it until I can get legal counsel.
