Did not look like any of the cars in the vid where gettting good launches. Maybe it was track conditions. Seemed like a lot of tire spin. I probably could not do better though, and the Evo put down a Vette and Firebird. I do not even recognize Mustangs as a sports car of any kind anymore.

I've noticed with the evos Xs that are breaking into the 11s have pretty damn low trap speeds. Well at least this one making over 400 whp and trapping at a mediocre 113? Is it just me or shouldn't we be expecting a trap speed of around 116 at the very least?

GT500 best quarter for a 500 hp car is 12.8 in any review I have read. Mostly in the 13s, and staight line speed is why most buy a mustang. Previous gen cobra was faster in a straight line than the new GT500 also. Now if we are talking about a Stage 3 Roush ok, but still probably would not hang with a 40k vette completely stock around a track. Hell a base Automatic Vette beat the GT 500 around the track by 3 seconds. I was a huge mustang fan till ford went absolute puss on the GT500. I expected a ripping fast car especially with dealer charging 15k over sticker, but all we got was a GT Mustang with basically a super charger. It does not stop, it does not turn, and it is top heavy like an SUV. Before you say it, Yes I have driven 3 to this date. One of my very best friend own one, and i get to drive it frequently when he is over intoxicated. Another negative about it is most lay people can not even tell there is anything different about the shelby from the GT. You would better off just buying the base GT and building it yourself. I still appreciate the heritage of the mustang, but have been very dissapointed in the new version since the Vanilla Ice Age lol.
