I think it'd be kickass to get a set of MR rims. They're not cheap.

Just be careful guys. The stock rubber is horrible on ice and in temps at or below 0 degrees. I know from experience. No accident but it was close.

What is this thing you call "Winter"? And why would you use different tires?

^ Ouch.

Why you gotta be like that. Not everybody gets Arizona "winters". Sheesh.

I'm using the stock oem enkei wheels with hankook icebear w300. But instead of going 245 I went down to 240 cause the 245 tires were rubbing.

you have to use smaller than 240 for the winter....or in that 245 like stock you could have nokain hakkapellita R....

I'm sticking with the stock set-up this winter, San Atonio winters are pretty mild. No snow and when the roads freeze they usually shut the city down. When I was in Japan a few years back I used the BFGoodrich g-force Super Sport A/S on my Evo I (yes evo 1) and they worked like a charm. Plus it snow like a mother F* in northern Japan.

Snowed last night. So I called my tire place and am getting some yokohama advan S.4 put on the stock rims. I live downtown chicago, so while chicago gets some pretty bad snow storms, I don't kneed to drive anywhere ever. So figure all seasons will do just fine for light snow which i might get stuck in, and the yokohama's seem to have good handling ratings plus they should last more then 10k miles. Hoping i can get 25-30k out of them, then I'ma buy some new rims and throw the a13s on the new rims and get some winters for the stock rims. But this way i'll have a couple years to pay off most of the car first before i waste my cash on rims.

So does any body here purchased winter wheels & tires pkg, How much? I wanted to know because I thinking to purchase winter tire/wheels for the MR, dont want to drive on stock expensive BBS wheels. MY car is in the garage parked for winter, until I decide to drive in markham, ontario`s salty, & snowy roads. I know that the stock tires isnt good for this type of weather. Its a track tire.. Summer only... Using the stock tire, is like wearing dress shoes and walking on ice... You will fall and hurt or break something.
