I am wondering why is not much selection when it comes to headers for the X?

The only one I can fine is Talon_66 and G force.

Huh?! What?

probably because you wont need new headers until you start looking at a larger turbo. and most people are doing the mods that traditionally come before that. hell. many companies still haven't released their exhausts yet.

i would assume an exhaust comes before new headers in most circumstances

He is, I was just commenting since he and G forge garage are the only that have headers. I belive that Talon's are not for sale to the public. So tha makes G forge garage the only one that has headers for the X.

Yeah man, it's called a manifold. It's wouldn't be "headers" anyway, it would be a header. Since there is only one of them. There aren't any V8's in Evo's last time I checked.

Thank you for be so sarcastic and helpful, the link site said HEADERS.

I thought forums are about helping each others.

Oh, he meant no harm by it. A little sarcasm never hurt anyone.

Regardless, if we really want to be PC about it...and for some reason, being PC is the cool thing to do in our country, it would be a turbo manifold...or a turbo header. Not headers? But who cares, honestly? :wackoff:

over 500 hp can be made on the stock manifold
very few customers desire to drop 2k on the part

I know what "2k" means.. who the hell pays that much for a manifold unless its weights 1 lb and dosent let any heat out.

Xtremeboost.com can get you one for right arround 899.00 or so. just pm frank.

Also may I add ; that design you just posted is cute but will not help much after you boost a few times - I know I already did the very same design and 3 others . On these cars its VERY hard to make a manifold that ACTUALLY works thus why AMS and others have not made any because the when they take into account the time to make one and cost of parts you'll need to sell them for like $1,000 at least to make any sort of profit . I could had made a cute one and made some nice cash off selling tons of them but that in the long run helps no one ! We're doing our best to make a small run of manifolds but at our target price of $750 with ceramic coating it doesn't look good once we took into account the time it takes us to make one . I'd rather NOT make a part like this then make one that looks great but works halfass . We have 20,600 miles on our shop car and on our first day we did , exhaust , headers , FMIC , Downpipe/O2 , intake . We then took parts off and began testing everything . The bottom line is that everything come down to flow and cooling , testing is key - long term testing and testing out many designs of the same part is always a great idea and we're very pleased we did just that .

Not much selection as of the moment. AMS I believe are working on cast manifold or header. Xremeboost has a nice looking tubular header. Give it a little more time and more will be available. Condiscending comments are rampant on the net. Let it slide, you will feel better!

AFI makes a manifold as well. It looks pretty nice, but I don't know if they posted any data showing gains.

Thank you sir  After testing 4 different designs over the last 8 months we sure have a very clear view of what works and what works best . We are always very proud to say that we test our products over a long period of time before we sell them to our customers . We look not only at long term durability but also how the product affects its surrounding - and that is actually key when you talk about manifolds for the X ;) .

i would try the RRM headers for the lancer GTS, obviously those are almost the same engines 4b11 and 4b11T. I have one on my lancer gts.
